carroll hoops fans....?

question for any of you. i try to follow the frontier as best as possible and usually have a good idea about carroll. i mainly watch them because i still feel that garland has no business playing there! he would be the second best play on the cats right now but that is neither here nor there.

anyway....is casey rogers still on the team? or a better question seeing as though he's not on their roster is where is he? thought it was just last year i watched him play and he had a great game and if i remember correctly i thought he was frontier freshman of the year.

Andy Garland is one of the better players I’ve seen since watching Carroll Basketball. The only problem is they've tried to make him a post up player instead of a player that can make his own baskters. He really does better if he gets the ball around the 3 point line and can make choices rather than post him up. He can really take over the game. However, this year they actually have the backup players to support him. In fact this last week at UGF he didn’t make a field goal, but Carroll still won the game.

Casey Rogers left Carroll after last year, he and the coach didn’t get along and so Casey transferred to another school, I can’t remember where he went to.

But I will tell you there is a kid from Senegal that can jump out of the gym. He made a break-away dunk that is one of the better one I’ve seen and I've been a regular at Carroll games for about 18 years. He also is only 6-1 and can out leap and rebound many of the bigger post players on the floor.

thanks for the info. that is too bad about rogers. he was a great player. although not too surprising as the one big knock against him coming out of high school was his attitude. but he could play for sure.

i enjoy watching carroll play and it's good to see you haven't missed a beat since turcott called it quits. he's one of the best coaches in the state at any level but i think you're in good hands with veltri too.

still annoyed everytime i watch garland. thinking about how much better the cats would be had we offered him drives me crazy. he plays so hard and so smart. god knows we could use a little of that. oh...and toughness too.

good luck to your saints the rest of the way. i have personal ties to the warriors of lcsc so that's who i pull for but i have always had a ton of respect for carroll. :thumb:
