Carmelo Anthony & Going Home

As a fan of all Colorado sports, incl. the Nuggets, I can understand 'Melo wanting to go home. A Brooklyn native, raised in Baltimore, starring for Syracuse, he has fulfilled his commitment to making the Nuggets a winning team (7 years). The kid is just homesick. I wish him all success in getting to the Knicks and playing on his home court, finally. Maybe money is involved, but I think it's more than that.

NBA sucks. And "Melo" a thug.

For the record, Melo has done a lot of good things in his time in Denver. I live in Denver, and some fans are upset over him wanting to leave. Yet, his want to leave is not about Denver nor their fans. He has addressed this over and over. I cannot blame him or anyone when they miss home and want to go back, regardless of profession.

Hell I too miss home (Missoula). I too talk about leaving Denver to go back home one day. What is wrong with Melo or any athlete wanting to go back home?

Christ sake the "thug" term is being thrown out here so easily. Melo is not going around Denver causing trouble, starting fights, ganging up on people. His run ins have been more related to bad judgment and decisions than anything of being a thug.

I wish Melo or anyone the best when it comes to wanting to be back or near wherever they call home. :thumb:

I too wish Mello all the best, no matter where he may go. He has always given 100%, wherever he has played, and , if he wants to go "home," I really can't blame him.

He can go "home" in 6-8 yrs when he's done. It's not like he's 18 and a freshman in college and moved from east coast to west or visa-versa.

You would think he'd learn the fans prospective from LaBron's debacle. Afterall, it's the fans paying him his millions...
