ilovethecats said:i guess i have been very lucky playing old works. of the 15-20 or so rounds i've played there i only recall a few where the wind was pretty bad. i will agree that we'll likely never see it play as nice as it did the first season it was open. but i still think it's one of the best in the state. green fees are reasonable. as are the cocktails. and you got the haufbrau right there so not much more a guy can want.

how is marias playing these days? i played there last year and thought it was still great although not as taken care of as it once was. some fun holes on that course.

I haven't played it this year (moved back to the zoo) but I have heard it is in great shape. I worked there the last 5 years and you are right, last year was pretty rough. The new management company that has taken over is cutting a lot of corners cost-wise which you can tell. It is too bad because it is such a great course.
