Cannon

Remember last year when it was hitting so hard it dismantled the grate in front of it. The first one before the game didn’t even go off today. Just made a bunch of smoke.
 
I could tell only because the cannon used to scare the shot our of my wife. Every time! Now she was asking if it even went off!
 
They cheese cloth material they used to pack the canon last year kept blowing off the grates. They used T-shirt material this year and that was part of the issue. They also bored out the canon and were having a hard time getting a tight pack. Those are technical answers I received from somebody very familiar with the canon loading process. Hope they have it fixed for next week. It was pathetic!
 
Had my 8 month old grandbaby girl suited up in her pink 37 jersey and sound deadening ear muffs for her first game. Had no idea how she would react to the cannon.

Usually we are in family but decided to break her in right in the NEZ. After the first score we were eager to see how well those suckers worked.

Lame. I was thinking the sound was just muffled because of where we were and family section got the full blast. Hadn't been in North end for a few years but it seemed to be much louder before.

Could barely hear it. Anyway she LOVED the game and even caught a t shirt (with a little help) Doubtful she will ever fit an xxxl but was a great experience for sure, even if the cannon had no oomf!!!!
