He’s won some he has lost some. He also hired the absolute worst hire in history when he hired Shannon Cate. Then Stitt was a bit of a dud. Then Holsinger not good. And he let the worst coaching staff hang around the softball program way too long. Looks like he finally made a great hire there. I like him and hope he stays with the U of M but he has missed plenty too.

While I agree with this, I think if you'd have asked UM fans and boosters, over 90% of them also would have hired Stitt and Cate.

And I'd suggest Kennedy was the worst hire in recent history.

The way I've always looked at it is Haslam's internal hires have all been shit, but his external hires have been good (except for Stitt).

I think you overestimate the number for Shannon. I know a good number were hoping for Trish.
