Can we beat NDSU?

There is no doubt Montana has a good defense and will be at home but I'm not convinced the offense can gel and score enough points to beat ndsu. With that said Montana has very good skill receivers in Henderson, Jones, Lucas, Naccarato and ndsu is weaker than they are accustomed to on defense. The only thing I know is I will be there and will leave with little or no voice. ndsu 31 Griz 24
Go Griz!!

Will be interesting to see how 5dimes will move their line as the game gets nearer, currently has Montana as 15 point underdogs at home:

Here is my "expert" analysis of the game:

Our defense will be just as good, if not better, than last year's defense. Our offense will be way better than last year's offense, because our offensive coordinator will have much better schemes. Even though we lost some good running backs, the QB position is the wildcard.

NDSU's offense will be better than last year's, assuming someone can adequately replace Crockett. NDSU's defense is a question mark. They'll be sound, no doubt, but they lose some great safeties.

It'll come down to execution, field position and turnovers, just like it always does.

Very accurate analysis. This is how I see it as well.

The question should be "Can NDSU beat us?"

Yes.

The Griz will be tough at home but this '15 Bison team will be tough as nails. The defense will be unproven to start the season but they will get better as the season progresses.

Both teams could see each other again in the post season.

What is preview without CHARTS????????? :thumb:

On a serious note, I honestly cannot wait to be reading BW's 1st pregame write up. That is always a good sign of football season being here. Too bad, football season is way too short.

This game will come down to this, if the Griz can stop the running game of NDSU, they have a pretty good chance for a win. If not, and the Bison put up another 300 yard rushing performance, the Griz will be in a difficult spot...

I've been watching Bison fb for a long time and the rfr rb #33 Dunn has another gear I haven't seen in a long time at NDSU. Just being honest. I think stopping the run is wishful thinking and do you really want to stack the box and let Wentz have that advantage?

I believe this coming season will be the 1st season since Trumaine Johnson's departure that the GRIZ DB's are up to that challenge. I won't be surprised to see a much more aggressive defensive strategy this season. :thumb:

we better win. NDSU is getting all kinds of free plublicity from ESPN on the draft with John Crockett trying to get drafted. If they win on the opening weekend against us you can bet Gameday will be back in Fargo for Weber State or UND. Herbstreet picked them to 4 peat on Gameday last year and they did. That will be Threepeat for Gamedays for an FCS school. Watch the ESPN announcers on youtube. They love the atmosphere there like it or not. People around the country know who they are and that makes recruiting easier. You have to admit four in a row is impressive and if you watched the championship game the other team got some lucky plays that could have been interceptions. It could have been a blowout just as easy as it was close. We better win or closing the gap is going to be tough and we will be watching them on gameday again.

It's okay to be a Bison fan and post and not have to make your very first post on this board under a Griz fan disguise. We're not that big of a-holes....well most of us :).

I LOVE this kind of logic.

Get some perspective and see there is nothing impressive about this outfit.

They represent NCAA hypocrisy at its worst.

They are where they are for all the wrong reasons.

If you speak the truth about them you are called vile and sick terms on boards like this.

They will be what they as they are as long as NCAA allows them to get away with the stuff they do.

If you lived in Fargo you would understand they are nothing but empty shells; all foam no beer.

When ever someone says their name or ask what I think I say nothing just glare.

If they go on and ask again, just say - "I have no respect for any organization who openly violates NCAA regulations and thinks they are impressive."

Have never been called on it when I speak the truth in person.

That is how you represent Montana in Fargo.

You've been "called on it" multiple times here and yet you continue to post empty accusations with zero proof or evidence. You're all hat, no cattle. And that AIN'T the way to represent Montana. Anywhere.

You don't seem anything like the Montana fans that I have met, and I'm guessing most Montana fans would prefer you didn't try to "represent Montana".
