Can we beat NDSU?

Even if every player on the Griz was named Chuck Norris and roundhouse kicks were legal the Griz couldn't win. Face it, any team playing NDSU is another version of the Washington Generals and the whole sport exists just to showcase NDSU talent. So next August, show up, bring the kids, buy the over-priced trinkets, cotton candy, popcorn and settle in for some family-friendly hijinks as those rascals, the NDSU Bizzzzon roll into town and put on a show that will delight and amaze children of all ages... You'll leave, asking "how'd they do that?" No, no children, the Griz aren't going to win, they aren't even supposed to win.

I'm glad somebody gets it! The Byzon are Globetrotters in green and yeller. When they come to town, you lock up your daughters, hide in the closet and wait for the storm to end. That's all you can do, really. Sure, I'd go to the game, but not when I can sell my tickets for ten thousand dollars each. Remember when Joe Glenn talked about the "keys to the Cadillac?" Ha, don't make the Byzon laugh! They are a Lamborghini Huracan, not a fricking GM! After they destroy us, they'll hold up "We Want Alabama" signs again. And Saban will hide in his pink bedroom like a little girl.

if every player on the Griz was named Chuck Norris

That'd make it quite the bitch to find the correct locker.

On a positive note, though, the dude who sews the names on the back of the jerseys sure would be happy.

Play the game.

After the game we shall see what the Griz are about.

Of course the Griz can win. But we are EXPECTED to lose.

Griz fans will stay sober unless we win....then all hell will break lose!

The Griz are not playing the latter day legendary(no Mormon pun intended)NDSU Bison, they play the 2015 Bison. The Griz had their own mystique from' 95-'09, then caught the Pflu followed by a debilitating case of the Mick-ups. Of course the Griz can beat NDSU. Just another team on another Saturday at WGS. :thumb:

Oh I am sure your are right AZ. I mean after all, NDSU ONLY won 8 national championships with an outdoor homefield prior to moving into the dome. I'm sure they would be screwed if they played outdoors. That's why they always get beat by other FCS teams when playing on the road in outdoor stadiums.

Or FBS teams like K State, Iowa State, MN, etc. Or you can go way back and see how bad they folded when they had to bus out to MT in the Winter when they were still DII and play the powerhouse griz in front of 25,000 fans. They crapped all over themselves.

And who could forget their huge win against the cats.

Oh wait. Those chickenshits were too pussy to play them.
  :thumb:

For the record... It was a good financial decision. We needed to play another DII school at home so we could make more money.

My favorite part about Bison fans is how they always try to explain how they win games, like we never used the same formula with Hauck.

How many National Championships and FBS games did Hauck win at MT?

why do so many Bison fans feel they have to go around and remind everyone how good they are, how many championships they've won, how many FBS games they've won? Do you all really need that constant validation? Seriously. We all get it.

Good attempt at a point. But I don't think egriz DOES get it. That's the problem. Some on this board try to explain away the 2014 Beat Down by NDSU, some predict a big Griz victory in 2015 and some just talk about the fat people in ND. You tell me who gets it....

It's always perplexing how fans of opposing teams think fans of an opposing team are ridiculous to feel that they have a chance to win. What did you think this was, a neutral observer forum? It's a UM FAN forum. By definition, fans are fanatical. Even when their team is not amazing, they're supposed to believe. You see bison fans, we've been going down this road for years, which means we expect great things; in other words, we're acting like we've been there, which is apparently something your fanbase--or at least many that post here--have yet to figure out.

NDSU fans will beat your ass...to the buffet line.

Not sure what you're talking about, CV.
Our offense wasn't prepared to play the Bizon in 2014. A few bounces our way and the outcome might have been different. I think the Griz win this one 52-10, but you'll never convince those Fargo Fatties of it.

Yeah, yeah. We know. You guys have won 2 straight national titles and had like a 17 straight game winning streak. We know all about it.

Dude, you sound like an hyperbolic apologist, capitalizing "beat down"? Seriously...they won the game fair and square, a beat down is when you score a shit load of points and don't let your opponents score. For example, Griz Cat last year was a "beat down". Our offense was inept against NDSU. Our defense tightened up in the redzone and kept the game somewhat close. Once again, it's a new year, let fans of the Griz get excited, I know I am...try to relax.

Been sitting up all night waiting to use that line eh? Too bad it doesn't pertain to what I said.

Why the need to tell us your style of play, when ours was very similar for many years?

bison fans, if you've got to go around all the time trying to remind people how great you are then you're probably not as great as you think. Currently you have the same record as every other team in the country. 0-0. May the best team win in Missoula and may the best team win the natty in 2015, whomever that may be. All I know is that I like the Griz' chances a lot more this year against you guys than last year.

Go Griz!!

A big touche' to you CDA. Nice job. I had to read that a few times before I got it.....

The never ending optimism of Griz Nation is sometimes overwhelming.

Short answer: no.

When your team has some time to figure out the new offense?

Maybe.

Look, RJ, if EWU could beat them with Taiwan Jones in for only half the game, I think we'll be just fine.
