Can our pass game and run defense dismantle Weber

Hill career numbers as coach of Weber
29-7 when Weber scores first
26-4 with first quarter lead. 9-16 trailing at end of first quarter
34-7 with halftime lead. 6-20 trailing at half
37-4 with lead at end of 3rd quarter. 3-22 trailing at end of 3rd quarter
15-4 record in November

Weber plays best in November under Hill. Weber maintains a lead very well, however they don’t play catch-up well.

Griz 13 personnel will outperform Weber’s 12 personnel.

Will you elaborate on this. What I’ve seen they have been mostly 20/21 personnel as #34 is listed as a fullback.

Griz have also used 22 and Weber 23. The three Weber games I watched this year they ran 12 quite a bit. The 13 and 12 was more of a humorous line, didn’t think anyone would take too seriously (although there is an element of truth to it).
I like the strength and depth of our TEs over Weber.

Good job looking this up. Those are some very telling stats.

Weber definitely doesn't play well from behind! :ugeek:

Few keys to this game I see....

When we get in the RedZone score TDs not field goals....Weber will allow you to get into the redzone....teams stall out there tho.

This is true. It's something that I think Knight is good at, especially with Sneed's ability to run or pass accurately as an option. But I think Marcus Knight is definitely a step above Ostmo or Eastwood at finding those small holes and punching it in from the 2 or 3 yd line.

Knight leads the conference in scoring and TD's. Has 16 rushing and 1 passing TDs. Next closest in rushing TD's has 11.

Knight has to lead all FCS for Red Zone TDs where he is still standing after he scores. How many times is he untouched when he is inside the 5 for a score?

Weber has shown some issues defending the long ball, it could come into play, however if they disrupt the QB they can make good QBs look mediocre.

As far as your run defense stopping our run game, prior to playing us Sac St only allowed around 111 rushing yards a game and Josh Davis ran for 177 on his own. Last week Davis went down early and his backup Smith ran for 104. Im not saying your defense wont be able to, but stopping all 3 of our backs will be a tough task.

I’ll answer my own thread title..YES!!!!

Defense completely shut down your run game, despite all your impressive stats you threw up here. Held then to 60 something! That’s 100 below your season average. Maybe that 3 headed monster you mentioned got introduced to Olson, Lewis, and Hauck. I’ll take it! Hooked 1, wildcatfan 0

Yes, I think UM will be able to pass and will be able to stop, okay slow down, the rush. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

1.9 yards per carry for Weber. 3 passing TD's to Toure.
