Can anyone beat NDSU?

Wouldn't be surprised to see the Cats beat the Bizzon. I'm sure they'll get by IWU. We forget MSU has plenty of hard-working talented MT boys that now have a lot of pride. Why do I think the Cats could beat the Bizzon? Troy Andersen. Troy has a good supporting cast this year, and the Cats feel good about themselves. Like UM, NDSU can prepare for Troy all it can, but he's an unknown, unpredictable number.

Not only can he run, but as in the second half of Griz-Cat, he has adequate passing. Ok, maybe our secondary sucked, but remember, the Bizzon are amateurs, too. If the Bizzon win it will be only after a hard-fought game. The Cats will not be blown out. Disclaimer: I am and always have been, and always will be a Griz fan.

The bobkittens will score less than seven points. I predict a shutout. If the bobkittens even make it past UIW, that is.

For what's it's worth. The Bison will lose 18 of 22 starters after this year. 9 on both sides of the ball. Probably won't matter. They will just reload like good programs do. We will get back to that reloading thing, it's just gonna take a few years.

While as a Cat fan I love the optimism, I just don’t see it happening.

Assuming the Cats do win tomorrow and go up against NDSU, all I’m honestly hoping for is a competitive game.

I have no delusion that the Cats are ready to knock off the champion, they just aren’t there yet.
If they can keep it respectable, 2 TD range, I’ll be happy, with both that game and the season.
If that happens, we’d be looking at a 7-4 regular season, 3 straight against the rival, home playoff game and win, and a respectable and understandable loss against the best team in the game. I’ll take that this year.

I seriously doubt that NDSU wins by less than three TDs. But it will still be a good season for MSU. If the Griz RB holds on to the ball, the Griz could be in line for a shellacking from NDSU, which I for one would prefer to missing the playoffs, assuming either Cats or Griz could beat the Word, that is.

One of those being their outstanding QB, Easton Stick. They list 3 Frosh QB's on the roster.

Dumb post. Didn't even read it. Fire Liz.

If the Bobcats aren’t intimidated, yes, they can win. They have a lot of fight in them and won’t be an easy out for North Dakota State.

NDSU only allows 12 points per game and only a little over 1000 yds rushing all season and people think a mediocre cat team will beat them in the Fargo dome. that’s not taking anything away from state ag but it just won’t happen. Completely different level of football. I’ll say something like 45-10 and bison take out starters out at the beginning of the 4th.

can? yes

will? doubt it

Last few years, vs. Big Sky teams (since Easton Stick has been playing)
Griz - lost 38-35*
Weber - won 41-14
UND - won 34-9
Griz - won 37-6
EWU - won 50-44
EWU - won 40-13*
Cal Poly - won 49-3

*road

so they're 5-0 in the dome, 1-1 away

their last losses, same time frame:
SDSU * 33-21
JMU * 27-17
SDSU 19-17
South Dakota 24-21
Griz * 38-35
2 of their last 5 losses at home

seems if anybody will beat them, SDSU has the best shot

miracle if we can Saturday, we have a shot with a bunch of IF's - if Tucker Yates and our 2 corners are back, if their QB goes down, if we get 5 turnovers, if Troy throws like or better than he did in Missoula, if if if ......

but hey, we've seen one miracle in missoula already, so what the hell ..... if we do better than 37-6 and 40-13 I will count it as progress for the Big Sky, especially since we're the 4/5th team in the conference this year.

they have no weakness. none.

Which people think that? I must have missed those predictions.

Literally, and I mean literally like the real word and not how these youngsters use it, every single Bobcat fan I've spoken to in person has predicted a Bobcat win. 100% truth.

I remember when Craig Bohl left and everyone thought NDSU was screwed? then the next year they only won because Bohl's players were still there and the next and the next.....Rumor has it they have steroids in the water in Fargo there is no other explanation for it lol. they recruit a lot of ND and MN kids. Those kids have great work ethic no doubt about it.

If we offered the o and d lineman they offer and get just a few (oh, and hire their strength and conditioning, o-line and d-line coaches), we will have those issues licked. Ever notice how their guys naturally look like the bouncers at Gilley's and Porky's?
