Yes, most of this is true, but AZ pretty much summed it up. The class was basically finished weeks ago. The day Shaw and Banks committed, lots of excitement, rightfully so. We'll probably land a big transfer or two in the off-season and people will be thrilled. Just the way it goes. Social media has created less mystery and shorter attention spans.

This is the quietest I've ever seen this place on signing day. I actually like the low key approach. Seems Stitt is going that route this year, too. Not hearing much hype from him.

Agree....eGriz enthusiasm is lowest I've seen in years....

Here's what I think it is: lack of enthusiasm for this signing class. Not for the CLASS itself, but for the fact there were exactly ZERO surprises, no big bombshells like in years past at the 11th hour. The recruits we got, we've known about for weeks....so, not much else to discuss as they've been discussed an nauseum over the past several weeks.

IMHO, the team got better with this recruiting class. Disappointment stems for the fact that several higher level "star" recruits who would never have been previously recruited, that showed reciprocal interest in the program, didn't commit or stay with an early commitment. If those names had never surfaced this class would be widely accepted as a very good class.

NDSU has been offering FBS caliber recruits for years. They lose on those recruits regularly. They also lose on recruits to other FCS and even MVC teams. Their fan base has learned to live with high hopes not always being met, without turning on the coaching staff. This fan base will too, hopefully, some day.
