I don’t think that’s right, here. Born a female, lived as female her entire life. Produces too much natural testosterone to compete with females. Had to suppress it with drugs. Then didn’t have to anymore, now does again. Can’t compete as she was born unless she synthetically suppressed her naturally occurring testosterone. Somebody correct me if I’m wrong.

As I understand it, it kinda makes the “compete as you were born” argument a bit odd. Just like the female to male athletes who now have to compete with females and are fucking dominating them.

Semenya is an intersex woman, assigned female at birth, with XY chromosomes and naturally elevated testosterone levels.

That's what we were told. But, the governing body said there was never a request to compete as a male.

The rule however, required athletes to compete in born gender. So she did.

She had been on testosterone for some time and it was obvious. Matches were not close; it was not fair.

Had she been allowed to compete vs boys, she would not have made it to the state tournament.

Just unfortunate all the way around.

My degree in biology from UM taught me that any Homo sapien whose DNA includes a "y" chromosome is a male. Period. Gender is determined by genetic code, not by the trappings of one's mind. Just sayin'.
