My values and morals will always be bigger than football. I stand by the bill.

Amen. Me as well. Good for California for doing the right thing. Montana is in the dark ages

Yep. That’s the beauty of our country. Entitled to our beliefs.

Even if it limiting some one else for not having the same beliefs.....hmm.....

Well... that’s the beauty of our democracy, right? We vote for officials we feel will introduce bills and laws that best align with our values and morals.. which this bill does for me and many others. Obviously some people are bound to get burned by bills and laws. I don’t take solace in having people feel stripped of rights but I think if we want to get down to it, it’s a bit of a faith based opinion for some. Which you and many others may disagree with. Life’s too short for me to worry about people disagreeing with what I believe in. Yet here I am

Even though we may disagree, well said.

My point, this legislation wasn't needed to fix the issue. It was the easiest way out for a certain group that think their values are more important than others.

Yep I hear ya. I’d be curious if you’d have the same feelings as your above statement if the situation were to be reversed and a bill was introduced to guarantee the rights for trans-athletes. Would you still feel that is was just an easy way out for a group of people or would you be happy as a clam?

I don't believe this issue currently required state enacted legislation one way or the other.

We like MT just fine. If you don't you have other options than to whine on eGriz.

OR - stay and effect change through my voting rights. Not all of us cut and run when things are not the way we like them. I guess your natural inclination is to quit, take your ball and go home. Good for you.

Are you not allowed to vote anymore? :|

The bill is not "anti-trans."

It does not prevent persons transitioning from competing. They are free to do so.

The bill is pro-woman.

Calichina schools will show up.

Is it? It forces transi males to compete at the same type of disadvantage that females are being protected not to mention the double standard or forcing trans males to compete against males yet trans females can not compete against other females.

I need to move to Montana, or Idaho. CO is not the same place I grew up in. It's a damn shame how CA is playing this up. The Cali schools are certainly making travel plans to the Centennial State.

Just because you call your choices “values and morals”, doesn't make them right. My values and morals tell me that girls should be able to compete fairly against those with the same biological make up. Are my values and morals wrong then?

Here’s another example. Some people’s values and morals tell them they should kneel during the anthem or turn their back on the flag while others think you should stand and salute the flag. Who’s values and morals are right and gives who the right to judge who’s right.

"Gutless" is the middle name of moral relativists.

When child predators find cover in this bullshit because they identify sexually as a six year old, where will your morals be then? Your position is a ripe example for reductio ad absurdum

The bill doesn't FORCE anything. It S-I-M-P-L-Y states, an operant word for some of you, if you choose to compete in athletics you compete against the sex you were born with.

Some guy with a personality disorder cannot compete against your truly biological daughter, and sure as hell isn't allowed in the same locker room.

When 'Bob' voluntarily chose to identify, and become 'Bobbi,' transitioning chemically and maybe surgically, it was an all or nothing move. All the chips aren't the only thing 'left on the table,' so to speak, by doing so. One of those things is the ability to compete athletically against REAL females in school sponsored events.

Those that want to identify as something else, black for instance, doesn't make it so. Dolezal was just another mental patient. One could identify as a pig, but that won't make you Miss Piggy. There are certain things that just cannot be.

That is what they want you to believe, but that isn't the case. Trans-females are not allowed to compete against females. This bill specifically targets trans-males. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem protecting females in sports competition, but this bill was not the way to accomplish it. This issue isn't a black and white issue as there is a significant gray area that is being completely left out, mostly because a group wants to ignore them instead of helping them in the same way they are working to help females.

what this dude said.

Travel to Idaho, Alabama, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee and Texas has been banned by California and there have been no issues with football. I think someone is trying to stir up trouble where there isn’t any.
