IMO, it's the parade with the family. It reduces the amount of time people have to pre-game at tailgates.

I quit going to HC games 6 years ago. The crowd and energy is drab compared to all the other games including the earlier season games when it’s 90+ degrees out. I usually give my tickets to my boss who is a 1951 graduate.
 
It's gonna be a good game. Cal Poly is a hell of a lot better than last year, and then they've been a while. Brint called this and ISU scary games. I'm paraphrasing. Bo Kelly is a good QB who knows the system well. Briscoe is one of the best WR in the conference. I do think the GRIZ will come out swinging in this one, and Buster Douglas won't be beating Mike Tyson this week.

I thought the fine mountain-folk of Missoula were supposed to show hospitality and welcome. Hopefully it's the Texas speaking, and doesn't represent Montana fans.

Don't like it, stay in cali where you belong. There's too many of you in the glorious Big Sky already. You can have the buttwiper of canada too, that's not allowed in my house any more than a whorenet, laggy or a crustang.

I have met SloStang. Partied with SloStang. Attended a Griz/CP game in SLO with SloStang. He’s good peeps.

You are right! What is the answer? My comment was meant to be funny, but I didn’t get any laughs.
Maybe the alumni are partied out from the Friday night activities and the fact that they had to get up early for the parade.

Deiffenbach is our starting QB who played limited minutes in 2 blow out wins and 1 blow out loss to Utah. He got hurt on the 8th offensive play in our 4th game against SF Austin and missed the rest of that game and both Sac State and UC Davis games with the injury. Our 2nd string QB went out with an injury the week of practice of the SFA game. Our 3rd string QB threw 3 picks including a pick six against SFA so we have started our 4th string QB the last two weeks against Sac State and UC Davis.

The good thing for Cal Poly is all 3 QBs bring something different to the game and I would imagine a DC would have a different game plan for each. All 3 were suited for UC Davis so who knows who the Griz will face. Deiffenbach is 6’6” 220 with and big arm and able to use his feet when the protection breaks down. Grisby is 5’11” 195 and is more of a threat in the read option run game and has a good arm. Kelly is 6’ 195 and is in his 4th season with Cal Poly who was a very comfortable running the offense.

Simply providing a little bit different perspective for this game.
First, ISU was the first road game for the Griz this year. Generally, people would expect the traveling team to a bit less efficient, if for no other reason than a disruption in routine!
Secondly, our defense was down two studs to start the game, and ISU took full advantage of that! Not having either Loud or Wing available allowed ISU to thrive on some of those pass plays in the middle of the field, and made the Griz defense look worse than they really were. If you doubt this, just look at the stats comparison between the 1st half and the 2nd half, once Wing was back in the game! One stat alone proves this point, 1st half, ISU - 24. Second half, ISU - 14!
I don't want to take anything away from ISU. They played a helluva game! But anyone who suggests that this game would have been that close if the Griz defense had been at full strength the whole game, in my opinion is delusional!

As for this week, if Loud plays, this could be decided early! If he does not, I still see Montana pulling away In the second half and winning by 2-3 scores.
