Cable Cutting ?

Mods move to more appropriate forum if you feel fit.

Question for all you that have cut the cable what would you recommend? Directv NOW or Sling. Finally looking at pulling the plug.

I like Sling's sports channel options and you can record but Direct TV has the big advantage of having Audience channel which plays the Root sports games. Right now I'm doing the free trial of Direct TV Now and keeping my sling but when that free trial comes up ill suffer through Direct tv now until after the Griz-Cat game.

Which package did you go with for Sling? And with Directv Now? And after the Griz-Cat game are you going to cancel Directv Now?

Can't speak for Sling since I have no experience with it. I really like Direct TV NOW. The free trial has been great and the stream is exceptional, plus I get some other channels which is nice. I also use the SWX app and get games for free there and the quality is good. Between Pluto, SWX and Direct TV Now, I won's miss the games that I can't make it to Missoula for. I was tired of paying 100+ per month for Direct TV and I got very little use of most channels. Just a waste of money

I signed up for DirectTV Now but there is no Root sports? Am I missing something?
 
I didn't do either. Signed up with Playstation Vue. Love it, but it doesn't get Root Sports. There is talk, but just talk right now of adding it to their lineup.

Well, Direct TV Now having big time problems with the Scat game. I think it is a Root sports problem related to the wind. Playing some concert and has been off line last 25 minutes.

I needed to get the additional Sports Package in addition to the regular Direct TV lineup to get Root. But with that package you also get a TON of other college games with it. THink it is like like $14 a month, but I cancel it after football season and reup it again in September.
