Bobby's teams were 5-1* coming off of a bye week in his first stint, and 0-1 so far in his second.
So he's 5-1 after bye weeks at home, and 0-1 after bye weeks away from home.
History is kind of a mixed bag on this one, considering the overall record is really good, but he was winless away from home after a bye week. That one loss was also on our 2004 team, so it wasn't like it was one of our worse teams during his first run.
It seems to me that teams tend to play better after getting an extra week of practice and film, regardless of who they are. However, it seems that whatever benefit/letdown is that comes after having a bye, the better team tends to win, anyways.
*Technically our bye in 2008 was the first week of the season, then we went down to Cal Poly after an extra week of "camp" to play them, so I didn't count that in these numbers.
