Butte vs Glacier

Final. 58-41 Glacier. Lots of potential here. Daum and Epperly look like college prospects the Griz could use. Cook with a ton of passing and rushing yards offset by four picks, three I think were pick 6's. Glacier QB threw three picks. Glacier O-line and running game was too much.

Dalton Daum (6'1" Junior) with his 20th catch... a TD

Glacier 51-41

5:36 left... on-side coming

Where did you see Dalton at 6'1"?? He's far from that. 5'-10" maybe.

He did have 20 catches for 286 yds tho.

Cook sounds like he may not even be good enough to be a starting QB at one of the instate schools, let alone going out of state.

Have you ever seen him play?? Jack Johnson and Grady Bennett have both said he is one of the best HS QB's they have ever coached against. He only threw for about 550 yds and 5 TD's tonight. Too bad Buttes D was totally non existent tonight.

Hammer you are preaching to people who have never watched him. How many times has he picked up a bad snap with one hand and made a 20 yard completion out of nothing. He will be near the top passing QB in montana highschool history on only two and a half years playing. By the way he rushed for about 80 tonight too. His only problem is his young o-line.

If Butte could get a consistent D the would be very tough to beat. Arie has yet to really put a solid D out there in his time at BHS

Totally agree. They have to step it up on D, they just can't outscore everybody, which is what has been going on.

If you have to throw the ball 60+ times, you're gonna get beat 9 out of 10 games.

Unless you are Texas Tech under Leach....................(soon to be Washington St)

Or Oregon, Or Baylor, or the '95 Grizzlies...
Its not the passing that hurts, its not having a good defense or kicking game. There is nothing wrong with a good passing game, properly applied.

Oregon's starting QB has 82 throws in 3 games. Granted those games have all been blowouts, but they really don't throw the ball that much. That offense is based off of the run.

Cook is a very talented kid. He is big and obviously strong. I don't question that. But look at the films. Find someone with a HUDL subscription and watch them. Look at the stats beyond "total yards. Look at yards per attempt. Look at YAC. Look at completion percentage. Last year and this year, much of his yardage (not all) comes from his receivers making good catches, and then making huge yards after the catch. Daum is a stud. Cook had really fast receivers last year.

And the major difference this year is his offensive line. He had all kinds of time last year. This year, not so much.

Again, the kid is a talent. But don't get caught up in the numbers game. His completion percentage is middle of the pack for AA.

I have watched every AA team, either on film or in person. As of right now, Weyer is the best, and 2nd is a big step. Maybe not next week, or next month, or at the end of the year, but today.

OK Butte. Flame on!! :thumb:
