But what do we really know about North ‘Bama?

North Alabama fan here, hope I'm not intruding...

First off, as a UNA fan, I am extremely excited to see UNA play @ Montana.

In the 3 year stretch UNA won back to back to back national championships, the only game they lost was to Youngstown State by 3 points, Youngstown won the 1AA national championship that year.

UNA was later honored with the moniker "Team of the Decade " and to my knowledge, the only D2 program to ever be invited to the White House.

2016 was the last year UNA played in a national championship game.
2017 we had a coaching change, huge player turnover and tons of injuries that resulted in our best WR playing QB and a 5-5 record.
2018 had a decent year as an FBS indy, but really trying to learn the difference on the road.

Our fans are very loyal and passionate, just tired of playing schools nobody knows about, the landscape of current D2. So expect our crowd size to get better in the near future when we play our old rivals and regional schools at home. I didn't think 10.5k was bad for a Thursday night game.

We have plans on building a new stadium soon, 12-15k seats with a standing room area in one endzone for eating and so on, kinda like the areas in a minor league baseball stadium.

I thought yall looked like a top 5 team Saturday against South Dakota. I just hope we can make a decent game out of it.

Hopefully nobody on either side gets injured and hope to see yall in Florence one day.

What's your outlook this year? Lions playoff contenders?

Are they even eligible? I thought when NDSU moved up they had a three season period where they weren’t eligible for playoffs.

UNA is not eligible for conference titles or playoffs until 2022.
