The NDSU Development Foundation has been selected as the Fargo area charity to receive a sizable donation (rumor has it that is in 6 figure area) for each episode. When the miniseries completes it's run an additional and final donation will be made based on ratings/viewership.

Great show. Extremely lucrative for Los Angeles! Most of it is filmed here and all of it is written and produced here. The best thing about North Dakota is the University has a good medical school. the rest of the place leaves much to be desired.
