Just returned from the Tuesday Grizzly Den radio show with Mick Holien interviewing Griz coach Travis DeCuire. Mick specifically asked coach DeCuire about the "postgame incident" and got a direct answer from the coach. I don't have the specific quote, but the radio program will be re-broadcast on KGVO at 6 p.m. tonight in case you're interested.
Coach DeCuire said that the incident was discussed internally with coaches and players and that he had been in contact with Randy Rahe several times. He emphasized that -- as noted above by wsucatfan -- the issue was resolved internally. DeCuire went on to explain that (paraphrasing here) "the players voluntarily came forward and talked to their respective coaches and discussed the issue." He indicated that the resolution to the issue came from players' suggestions and that coaches went along with it.
Coach DeCuire further verbalized high respect for coach Rahe and his program, noting that both programs come from the same coaching tree, and said resolution of the problem was worked out with that mutual respect in mind.
If I can remember to listen to the show replay tonight, I'll try to get an accurate quote.
Issue resolved.
