WSU 11-4 1.5GB
SUU 10-4 2
UNC 9-4 2.5
Griz 10-5 2.5

Does anyone know the tiebreak rules? Especially because it looks like MSU and SUU are only going to get 19 games played. And there is the potential for many 1-1 spilt series. Griz have already either spilt or clinched a spilt with WSU and SUU with a chance to spilt with MSU and UNC who they get at home the next couple of weeks.

Tie breaks are:

1. Head to head.

2. Records against other teams beginning at the top of the conference down until tie is broken.

Since not all the games are likely to be played and this being the bsc, I would imagine they’re just aware the conference champion by pulling names out of a hat.

Thanks. That makes sense. I think I may have read that some conferences had gone to the NCAA Net Rankings because of unbalanced schedules.

MSU 13-3
WSU 12- 5 1.5GB
UNC 10-5 2.5 (2-0 against SUU)
SUU 10-5 2.5
Griz 10-6 3.0
EWU 8-8 5.0

By my math the magic number for the Griz to get a bye over EWU is 2. Any combination of Griz wins + EWU losses that = 2 will give the Griz the bye. In theory PSU still has a chance but they would have to win 4 straight and the Griz would have to lose 4 straight which seems highly unlikely.

So who are they going to face in that 4/5 contest? UNC or SUU? Although they could lose 3 of the 4 left the way it's going. Zero confidence they can beat another bottom dweller at home either. Wasn't it a loss to Sac the last regular season game that thwarted a seed within the last 5 years?

If I had to guess I would say SUU. UNC holds the tie break over SUU and seems to be playing better as of late.
