Damn! looking cold that day!

I think Coastal will probably win this weekend, but I kind of hope B-C ends up coming to Missoula. That one would be over the minute those Florida boys step off the plane...

I can imagine their fans that come here for the game with those temps will resemble this

You do realize that Coastal is from Myrtle Beach, right?

Perhaps he was just confused by the rather deceiving name, Coastal Carolina.

;)

(I kid, I kid: Actually if you re-read H's post, he's referring to BCU when he alludes to the Florida kids).

Well...Myrtle Beach is north of Daytona Beach...sure there is a huge temp difference :coffee:

32 degree high. Not too bad actually. I saw Thursday that week high is 12. It would be nice for the temp to stick around

As I'm sure you all remember, the last team from SC to visit didn't seem to be all that bothered by the cold...

Very mild day when Wofford played here and IMO, it would have been over early had Lex not had a screw coming out of his hand.

Mild? I don't recall it being much warmer than 20...

I was wearing shorts and it felt much warmer than the UMass game where I wished I had not wore shorts.

Looking back at the stats from a Wofford website, it notes that it was 13 degrees(bottom of page 1).

It really depends on where the players are from, not where the school is. I grew up in Jacksonville and many of my coaches as a kid played for Bethune Cookman. A quick look at the roster for BC shows that most of the kids are from Central and South Florida. One is from Brooklyn, but beyond that nobody north of mid Georgia. I would venture to say that most of them have never seen snow. CCU, on the other hand, has a number of kids from northern climes like New Jersey and Penn.

41 in Spartanburg and 62 in Myrtle Beach at this time. Big difference for a kid from the south. Still shorts weather-41 for us/ But again I think the bigger difference was Lex not being 100%. He was hard to contain when at full strength because of his combination of speed and power.

I sat on the east side in the sun and don't remember it as a particularly cold game. What I do remember is our inability to contain Wofford's sweeps to less than 8 yards per attempt. Thank goodness they felt they should pass occasionally. Their lousy passes and our picks is what seemed to keep us in that game. All in all, one of the more disappointing Griz losses. :ugeek:

Our DE's were not containing and our corners were not tackling. Seemed every sweep got to the safeties. We were soundly beaten on the edges. Wofford put on an exhibition in how to block.
