Brooks Davis #7 Returning WR

Go on YouTube and search 1996 Montana vs E. Washington and watch how Joe Douglass basically won this game for the Griz. This is the game Ah Yat threw for 560 yds and Douglass basically had half of those yards. He also was our punt returner as well. But we basically were going to lose this game until Joe Douglass provided the magic we needed to win. Then the following week we played Northern Arizona and he caught 200+ yards again. Davis is very talented and has a lot of potential but he still has a long way to go if he wants to be the very best we've ever seen at Montana.
I would also suggest a similar viewing of the Marianni game against SDSU.

Not going to compare players or predict Mr Davis future, I'm just going to say a couple years ago there was a podcast with Brooks that left an impression on me that he would be great. Even the two gentlemen that did the interview were stoked and he had yet to step on the field.

Those guys cant have an opinion on Davis unless its the eGriz echo chambers opinion. Please tell them to shut up and comply. There is only group think here
You are such a little douchebag. Everyone on here wants him to excel. You just had to insult former Griz players for no reason. You honestly crave attention to be the one that called it!! We all saw how good he was last year. Nothing special about you. You are just the same as all of us watching.

Douglas was the Griz GOAT in my mind. After Mariani, it became less clear.

The Griz had so many great receivers over the years. There were many guys who were small in stature but played like they were over 6ft tall. Here's my list and in no specific order.
1. Josh Paffhausen- QB turned into a receiver and was one of the best athletes the state has ever seen. Credit to Pease for realizing that although Ah Yat would be the starting QB, Josh was too valuable to just sit on the bench
2. Raul Pacheco
3. Jimmy Farris
4. Travis Walker
5. Justin Olsen
6. Jeremy Watkins
7. Shalon Baker
8. Shannon Cabunoc
9. Mike Earhardt
10. Joe Douglass
11. Matt Wells
12. Scott Gurnsey
And many more.....

He has already surpassed those on that list and his ceiling is higher than any of them. Not one player on your list has all the tools Davis has. The biggest tool he has isn't measured on the field.
You clowns will see this coming season. He might even be the MVP when we win the NC this season
Lazy and ignorant take. Spoken like someone who was playing with Fisher Price toys a few years ago. Do some homework. Soldier’s list was accurate but not exhaustive. UM has had an obscene amount of ridiculous talent at WR…most of which existed before the advent of smartphones (yes, people actually played high level football before the year 2000!!!).

Brooks Davis is an amazing talent. He has great speed,, good hands, picks things up fast, is consistent and is athletic. The only disadvantage Brooks has is time. Starting to play football so late does hamper him a little but not a whole lot. I know that the more he plays under Pease, he will continue to only get better and will be a record setting receiver. I hope they use him more in the slot and find more ways to get him the ball. I have no doubt that the more familiar he becomes with the game, the better he will become. I can't wait to see how much his game has advanced from all the work he's been putting in the off season. And I look forward to watching all the receivers step up this year to become one of the best if not the best receiving groups in the whole FCS!
Although we lost Wortham, Drew and Bohannon, I think Korbin Hendrix, Jordan Dever along with the addition of Legend Lyons will be a hard group to stop. I also feel like Bridges will take a huge step forward in helping the team as well.

And you know nothing about the prior Griz receivers on the list. You have zero credibility on this subject, or anything else. Davis has nice talent and potential, but he has not yet achieved as much as of any of them did. You are an incredible loser.

I can't remember what year it was, but the griz/jackrabbit game in Missoula where the rabbits were up big and Mariani took over and won it for the griz......one of the most spectacular individual performances I have ever seen. I would put him #1 personally and if the NFL hadn't changed the kickoff rules, Mariani would have had a stellar career imho.

I do think the Davis is the most physically gifted receiver in the Big Sky this year. Hard to beat Taco for productivity, but Davis has a higher ceiling I believe.

Mariani did have an outstanding career. Drafted into the NFL, playing 6 seasons and making the pro bowl is outstanding for someone whose graduating class at Havre High School had barely over 100 students. How many professional athletes are from Havre? Mariani is the only one I know of.

Yeah Mariano is a legend, he's definitely one of the greatest ever.

Looking at Marianis stats I wouldn't even have him in the top 4 as a WR. Most of his appeal seems to be from kickoff and punt returns.

Davis is a better WR, you will see this season now that the brakes wont be on all the time

I like your enthusiasm for Davis, I’m excited to see what he does this season. But your dismissive attitude about anyone who suited up for the Griz longer ago than the last few years is both wildly inaccurate and hugely disrespectful.
