is he going to cfl for sure or is he going to get a nfl tryout? is he still in missoula training or did he go to be near some training facility?
 
He is in Missoula training right now. He will be at pro day. Worst case scenario is he is in the CFL. Not so shabby.
 
I hope he gets to play no matter what, but correct me if I'm wrong... I'm under the assumption if you aren't a star QB, you don't get paid squat in the CFL... Depending on his degree, he could probably make more money there and play Semi Pro ball

Just my opinion, and I have no idea how the CFL is now, but I remember seeing salaries in the 30 grand range a few years ago...
 
Bergquist is making good money as a backup. It is a short season up there and its good money for that short season. Better than most bachelor degree holders make in a full year of work for sure.

Good point, but how many employers will let their employees go back and forth???

Yeah it definitely depends on what career you select. I think most of these young kids think 40K, a little fame and some girls is a good reason to put the real career on hold for a couple years. ha

Why? He is getting his college paid for and is almost done. No point in him to quit now.

:shock: They play more games than the NFL!

EDIT: I didn't see Kool's post. Having watched more Sask Roughrider games than any NFL games combined, I knew it was longer but was thinking 20 games. 18 it is.
 
I guess what I was told was that their offseason workouts are for a shorter duration and shorter practices during the season mandated by contract.
