bobby dosent play young qb's, never has never will. dosent matter how talented, bobby ball is set in stone.

Bergquist started as a frosh.
lets look at this 2004 craig ochs and jeff disney ahead of bergquist. 2005 brought in jason washington. 2006 bobby brought in shotgun arm josh swogger. 2007 bergquist gets to play.
Bobby ball = old qb. talent is not relevant. somewhere in bobby's brain young QB's not playing unless desperation. Bobby has a plan and he dosent deviate. I've been suffering thru 17 years of bobby. He needs to go.

Bergquist started the bulk of his frosh year, not Washington.

He is not afraid of competition, he will have to compete wherever he goes. That is the nature of college football. Does Bobby blow on your neck when you guys are together or something?

He was afraid to compete at UM.

Again: there is no truth to this. They don’t know how to develop quarterbacks and he could tell. If you question whether this staff can develop QBs, just look at their track record with high school quarterbacks. It’s well documented

Britt is a competitor at heart to say otherwise is just stupid...there was so
much upside to him...think of Jordan Johnson...let face it there was something
to his personality the Hauck old boys didn't care for...he had the talent!

Britt leaving is a loss for our program. Really liked the way he played and from the cheap seats, looked like he could be a good one for the Griz. Sad to see him go. Hope he kicks a** wherever he lands.

I will also say this we are the minor leagues now for FBS programs. I wouldn’t doubt for a second that a mountain west school has already told Britt if he goes into the portal he’s got a full scholarship with them. It would not surprise me to see him end up at a Nevada or Colorado state or something like that.

I agree with you Hooked. I don't think any FCS school is immune from having players entering the portal. I would say maybe 8 to 10 players leaving a school will not be unusual. Some will move down and some up.

This is literally every big time program in college football now. Alabama down to Samford. Every single program. I’m shocked people don’t realize this yet.

for reason leaving the Griz program. From the Missoulian, "I absolutely loved Montana, the fans, the city, my teammates, just all of Montana," Britt told 406mtsports.com. "I just felt I wasn’t developing enough as a player in the QB room. But I loved Montana and I loved that I got the experience to go play there and meet some great people."

“Wasn’t developing enough”. Not the same as not being developed. Said some nice things.

    It'll be amazing how much he develops with even average coaching.

I do agree with you. He said some really nice things about the fans, Missoula, and Montana. Oddly enough, never mentioned a single coach.

It just confirms what’s been said and thought all year by fans that have any football wherewithal.

I know this will sound sac religious, but I was right behind the bench for the SEMO game, and there was no reason Johnson shouldn’t have been replaced in the second quarter. If you could have seen Daniels frustration after every drive, you’d have seen this as inevitable. He’s a competitor with a higher upside than we will have with any one year transfer. We need to start targeting guys that will be here multiple years and develop them, or we will never find consistency on offense.

We had a lot of QB1 injuries the last 2 years. Neither Brown nor Britt grabbed the job and made it a tough decision when the starter came back. If either had, there would be no portal or Tuttle talk. There are 4 levels of football below FCS and some guys who look good in highschool struggle at this level. Let's just wish him well and look forward with those who stay and those who join the team.

If Britt had gotten the prep time and been named QB2 from the get-go, I bet his development and played throughout the year would have gotten much better rather than just storing them in at the tail end of a couple of cupcakes and then the two biggest games of the year at the end of the season… Just saying
