Britt in the portal

Kid just wants to be on the field somewhere and not be jerked around, which it looks like he was a UM. Everyone acts like its so noble or honorable to stay on a team for 4-5 years even if you know you'll never play. Screw that, if I'm him and don't feel like I'm going to get an a fair shot, I'm out too.

Every kid that isn't a starter is going to feel like they should. Even if they shouldn't. It's exactly what's wrong with the portal. You can't build depth if every kid leaves cuz he's not starting. Hard to build a team when they're all for themselves now.
 
Good for Britt. Sounds like he's moved on and I for one wish him well.
Now....can eGriz move on? Can we end this thread at 15 pages? Can we stop bitching and moaning about who knew what and when and how he was going to enter the portal.
He is now an official ex-QB for the Griz and maybe, just maybe we can move on to discussing current players, schemes, recruiting, speculating on transfers.
Who am I kidding, this thread is probably going to 20 pages.

He was recruited to Montana by Bobby and Bobby is a great recruiter. He was selected scout team player of the year by Bobby and Bobby is a superior judge of talent.
 
Britt has gotten a lot of offers already, he’s only posted Bryant so far and he’s posting the other ones soon after he goes on his official visits. He has about 10 offers right now. 9 FCS and 1 FBS.

The dude wanted to play...and will get a chance elsewhere. His contributions to the Griz and UM are not measurable. Scout team leader preparing the Griz D...

Personally, I am grateful for the time he spent with the Griz, and I hope he tears it up wherever he lands.

I just hope it isn't in the BSC.

Bobby only recruits guys that fit the program. Go watch his press conference from signing day. And then selecting him scout player of the year. Bad miss by Bobby. The Griz are now being led by a QB benched for a videographer.

I can't find anywhere that he had an official visit to Bryant? Are they full scholly offers or partials or pros?

You'd think there'd be more info out there. He sure was quick to post Bryant's offer.

I have to admit, I thought he’d have a number of offers right away (like we’ve seen with some of the other QB transfers…such as Martinez from NAU) or already have a schollie lined up with Nevada or an UNLV. But I’m starting to wonder if those offers are there or just not public yet. If the offers don’t come, I have a feeling he’s going to really regret leaving Missoula.

I also saw a stat that only about 45% of portal entries are actually landing at another school and that the number is even smaller for FCS kids. That’s definitely a roll of the dice when you don’t have a huge resume or aren’t a proven player. Will be interesting to see how many offers Ifanse gets as he is much more proven.
 
I have a hunch that we are going to wish the Big Head guy stayed with the Griz.
Thought he had lots of potential...

I do wish he would of stayed with the griz. But, he didn't. A team is supposed to be your brothers, you don't quit on your brothers. Especially when they need you. If you're confident that you deserve to be a starter. Stick around and prove it, be there for your guys.
