Britt and the NAU game plan

When Britt transferred to NAU he took an intimate knowledge of Griz football. He worked with the first team offense and played against the defense on the scout team. He knew the coaching tendencies as well as individual strengths and weaknesses. I think NAU used his knowledge to develop a very effective game plan.

Britt...I wanted you to stay, just FYI!

If our entire coaching staff couldn’t account for the knowledge that a backup qb took with him and make adjustments to calls and game plan it’s either pure hubris or stupidity. I’m not saying it’s not a possibility, but it’s more probable that Ball and his staff watched film and saw the copious amounts of opportunities to take advantage of our o-line, offensive inconsistency, suspect pass coverage and lack of defensive pressure to script a winning game plan that exploited all of it.

I think Britt’s contribution to the game plan consisted of telling his coaches: “Imagine playing a team coached by Inspector Clouseau who’s a bit of a dick.”
