I asked him this on twitter messenger but I’ll ask again here. If the Griz and Bobcats meet again in the playoffs, is the trophy again up for grabs? Does the win count toward the rivalry numbers? A friend and I were at the game and afterwards were talking about this. There’s a real chance MSU is coming right back here in two weeks.

I think the committee would rather see a rematch with SDSU or Idaho in the quarters for MSU due to the recency of this game, but we will have a clear picture in 3 hours.

I listened to haslam ln Sam herders podcast a couple weeks ago, and unfortunately once the field is selected they vote on the top 8 seeds. Once those votes are in there’s no way to change the positioning, so it’s hard for the committee to ensure UM and MSU or Idaho for that matter don’t all rematch in the next several weeks

Guaranteed we have a rematch with at least one of them (and/or Sac or UCD) before the semis. There’s only two “sides” to the bracket, and there’ll be 5 BSC teams in the bracket.
