Bringin' in an outsider

I could beat up anyone in Butte, and make a better Steak. Pastys, Pork Chop Sandwiches, toughness/fighting and now Steaks are all overrated in that hole.

There is a hole there, yes, indeed.. And, a hole in your soul...

From San Diego and still eats meat? Cool. Not being a jerk, but I was unable to find a good place in Missoula. Lots of ok places but SoCal has set a high standard. My best suggestion would be to find a place that serves the biggest, greasiest burgers....Hard to find them down here and harder in San Diego...Better yet, is there such a thing as a Butte pasty shop....none here or in SD....

There is a Butte pasty shop in Zootown. Haven't eaten there, but I've heard nothing but good things...
Lisa's, on Sussex, sort of behind Southgate Mall. And, yes, it is good.

Probably a Butte gal running it. 8-)

That she is. :thumb:

Let me know if you're headed to SD in the winter - There's a great little corner bar near me in PB called Rocky's. A lot like Mo club - only they have fries with their burgers. Good cold beer and cash only - no checks, no credit.

There isn't a steakhouse in Missoula that can compete with the Derby in Butte, and I have had steaks at both Curleys and Guys in Lolo. Only two come close, Sir Scotts Oasis in Manhattan and the Cattle Baron Supper Club in Babb (just outside of Glacier Park on the east side).

Heres a pic of an amazing T Bone I had in Babb this summer.

The Cattle Baron has the best steak in Montana :thumb: And the coolest name for a town, Babb.

The best steaks in Montana are at Chubbys.

I am not going to say where irs located because frankly I want to keep it the hidden gem it is.

Egriz,

Oh, and what is the best steakhouse in Missoula nowadays?

-CDA

Finn and Porter has the best steak, chops, and sea food in town, and its walking distance from the U.
And their prices are outrageous! Haven't been there in a couple years, as a result.

We are seeing results of the drought. Beef prices rising as fast, or faster, than the rest of the food supply..Guess someone should have prepared a bit more for global warming, deregulation, and limits on NAFTA..oh, well...we can all lose a few pounds...
