If Pflu cannot or will not come back, Hauck should be out of a job soon. I would vote to take him back too.
u know, if this big tall right hander from billings is as good as everybody says, and hauk came back....a solid qb, canada is primed to be a stud if he can stay healthy.....joey looks like he could be a great player...bobbys style would be a nice fit.

as much as people hate BH for not winning a title, he had us contending nearly every year...not many teams can say that. JoPa said how hard winning a title is, and if you can consistently put a good team out there and every now and this give your self a SHOT at winning a title, your doing ur job as a coach. i would say bobby fit that bill.

Bobby would probably take this team to the NC next year.

He would and then he would lose again.
all those years hauk took us to chippers were we playing push over teams? those teams are also trying to win. you make it sound like you would rather have us lose in the early rounds or not even make it to the playoffs than lose a tight game in the chipper. I would rather be there, with a SHOT to bring home a title than not be there at all. in no way is it a given we were going to lose any of those chippers....gotta tip your hat to the other team in each game

That's a helluva lot more chance than the team's got this year.

Hauck was a hell of a coach... I'd feel very very positive about next season if he were to come back.

With Hauck, every year you could count on the Griz being back in the playoffs and very competitive.

Always cracks me up to see people say "he couldn't win the big one" or something like that. Well to have a shot at winning the big one, you have to MAKE IT to the big one first.

Well guys look at it this way, Engstrom did not lie one bit. He said and I quote " Its a change in leadership to take us in a new direction". Well as Dr Phil would say, " And hows that working for ya"
Way to go Phukstick.
I would take any past coach back at this point.

Bobby was such a great recruiter and developer of talent. Robin was a good replacement but I was never a big fan of him simply because I do not like the offense we ran as much as when Bobby was around and we used to pound the rock on oppenents defenses wearing out the smaller lines we faced.

Very true...and fun to watch.

Or the days of Air Bear and putting up 35 points by halftime... aaaahhhhh yes, THOSE were days. The offense of Hope and Change needs to be tossed in the dumpster. We've got three excellent QUARTERBACKS sitting on the bench, and our Wide Receivers might as well be blocking Tightends for as worthless as they've become in this offense. Anyone for a bubblescreen?? :puke:

You do realize Don Read created the bubble screen..."The bubble screen was essentially created by Don Read when he was head coach of the Montana Grizzlies, and Lou Holtz, head coach of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, brought the play into prominence after calling Read and asking for the play."

I don't think Grizmayor is against the bubble screen, I think he would just like to see it thrown a little less often.

He may have started it, but his spirit hasn't imparted any "timing" to our offense yet. Just about everytime we have seen our QB on his butt..... Its been a set up for a bubble screen or that nifty little "pass to the side" that is almost as predictable as BH little run up the middle

Just wondering but if you could do something about it...would you bring Pflu back?
I WOULD (how about you?)

Dumb Topic because Pflu would not go back to work for UM and its current president.

I'm well aware of Papa Bear's evolving of this play... but I think it fit his offense better when the safeties weren't standing two feet behind the LB's like they do now and we had four WR's on the field. I don't mind a couple of bubble screens during a game, but Pflu (or Smith) once ran that play like a dozen times in ONE GAME with JJ pulling the trigger for gains of 2 to -1 yard EACH time. We talked about it on EGriz right after that. It looked great for JJ's completion %, but he totaled like 34 yards for the game.

If GrizNation had its way coaches and AD's would never actually be fired or permitted to resign. They'd just be recycled like old newspapers.

Back to the subject, to accomplish this you only have two problems: 1) Engstrom; 2) Board of Regents. :grenade:
