Bring Gurns back to the broadcast

I like to watch tv and listen to the radio broadcast. The guy doing the color adds nothing, he just doesn't see things and doesn't add any insights. Gurns on the other sees a lot and knows football. I was watching the last game and wondered why the defensive backs never turn to look for the ball. On the post game show Gurns mentioned they are not teaching that technique anymore. I miss his insights and he truly added color and knowledge to the broadcasts. Bring him back.

Not sure why, but they aren't teaching that technique, even at the High School level anymore.

I actually like Gurns on the pre and postgame shows. I think he gets more of an opportunity to talk about things from a former player's perspective (he obviously played the game) in those as opposed to during the game broadcast.

This is what happens when you out-source your local production and sensabilities to a big corporate giant that doesn't have a clue or care about YOUR local market. Gurns was/is too opinionated and dangerous for the Corporate bigwigs that have never been to Missoula that are making these decisions now.

I know and like both Mick and Gerns and felt they got the shaft. I have not listened to the radio yet but will give it a go during our next home game.

What are most listeners saying about the new guys?

That's globalization on a small scale.

Gurns was great. No one else like him. I think Greg Sundberg is doing a great though too. Hard to find a guy more dedicated to UM than Sundberg
