Count my family as one that does not go to Bozeman for any rivalry games because of the vulgarity. We do go watch the Griz play at Eastern and Gonzaga where they are extremliy proud of their teams but they express it with with class.
By the way ,any Bozeman business folks and Cat Booster's should know that we go as a group of families and each spend between 500 and a thousand bucks every trip over to Spokane and Cheney on hotels, gas, restaurants and the obligatory shopping experience. I'll bet there are a hundred like minded folks with disposable income in Missoula that feel as we do, Bozeman and the MSU experience isn't special enough to put up with your nonsense.

And as a Bozeman business professional, it bothers mean to know that you are exactly correct in your assessment...

Professional???? I always thought you were keeping the amature status so you could "business" at the Olympics. Maybe it just seemed that way...

Watching and listening on TV...classless crowd . Is that typical of Bobcat fans?

Is this your first game? I have seen their womens BB team wear "f**k the Griz" shirts and parade in fron of the TV cameras inthe past. Nothing suprises me from the rednecks

anyone heard of a student section? typically they are the roudiest of the fans at the game, and i am sure this also happens in msla during cat-griz matchups also.

if you dont want to go to a bozeman "brawl of the wild" matchup feel free to not attend, cat fans will show up and at least for the UM matchup the brick or reno h sales is sold out so nothing lost...

So you think it is ok for Student Athletes to wear that sort of stuff? classy

Call me old-fashioned, but I just don't believe the F-bomb should be used around children.

And besides, if you can't come up with anything more creative than "f the Griz", perhaps you just shouldn't bother.

I don't think there's hardly any "classy" student sections overall in most places.

I made it very clear what I was referring to (see student athlete). You didn't have to be there to see it though because those girls made sure they got on TV.

It was a previous coach, not Binford. But when it happened is besides the point. The fact that you think it is OK for msu athletes to display that sort of crap, during the season no less is maybe why the Admin doesn't do anything about it. Maybe that is the prevailing attitude at msu. Sad if true.

yes your correct it does not matter, because all previous WBB coaches got fired basically since 1998.

At Safeco Field, they have a rule that they will not allow any clothes they deam "offensive". And while they tend to be a little militant about it and go too far sometimes (they once wouldn't allow "Yankees Suck" t-shirts), I believe more universities need to adopt the same policy. If I were a U President, I would. I understand that what my students due affect the public perception of my university. Having "f" on a t-shirt doesn't exactly proclaim, "This is an outstanding institution of higher-learning".

Too bad it was more than just the F on the "lady" cats shirts, they had the F word spelled completely. I guess HB thinks that is cool.

Who ever thought this drunken post on a cell phone inside the brick last night would go for 6 pages???? And where the hell is alpha? Still sleeping it off I bet :thumb:

I was just discussing this with my girlfriend. I kind of hate that 'f*** the bobcats go Griz go" and vice versa are the two main cheers in the rivalry. Can't we just mix "Beat...the...CATS" and "Beat...the...GRIZ" into our fight songs? I went to the ND/USC game this year and this is what they did and it sounded a helluva lot better. Plus the whole crowd can get into it.

I am not saying there aren't idiots. Both UM and MSU have them (whether you want to admit it or not) Chitown and Richard Cranium come to mind. It is too bad that these people feel they need to act this way but it is not something you or I can control. That is my point, it gets old hearing you guys whine about it. :twocents:

Hey MM7cat, I have never cussed or said offensive things at a sporting event. Just this year i did say crap and i appologized to the lady in fron of me and she replied "thats F***ing ok i say worse". But i will say you are a red neck, pencil neck, country bumpkin geek, tho.
