I thought this was one of the most entertaining interviews we've ever done. More than 40 years ago, former Griz Brian Salonen was in a similar situation as Junior Bergen and Tommy Mellott are now. So he came on to share some perspective on what it's like for a low-round draft pick to try to make an NFL roster as a kid from Montana. Enjoy!

When Brian Salonen was with the cowboys, I spent the entire game trying to find him on the sidelines.
As a kid it was so cool to see a Griz in the pros. He was pretty good at standing close to Landry so I spotted him a lot on TV.

Brian, to understand Tom Landry and his demeanor, you have to understand Texas culture, WWII service, and growing up in Texas in the 30s, and I would be surprised if Tom Landry wasn't on the autism spectrum.

That was a lot of fun to listen to. Thanks for doing that interview and posting it!
