EuroHoops basketball, former Montana Griz Brian Qvale is dramatically capping off an impressive season for his Oldenburg, Germany team. Qvale leads his team in scoring (just under 14 per game) and rebounds (6+ per game) and has been considered one of the three dominant centers in EuroHoops basketball this year. He scored 31 points in a recent game and Oldenburg is battling for 2nd place in the German league division of the Eurohoops leagues. I believe Oldenburg just last night beat the team it's fighting for second place in the German league standings.
ALSO: Will Cherry, who plays for Alba Berlin in the same league, is doing well. Cherry is a starter for Alba, averaging 11+ ppg and 4+ rebounds.
I don't fully understand the complicated structure of EuroHoops, but I think Qvale's team is in the running for the EuroHoops playoffs. Cherry's team, Alba, also just qualified for the playoffs.
Here is a brief rundown (with a photo) of Qvale's 31 point game earlier this week.
