You remember when we lost the freshman all American qb after spring ball? I’m starting to wonder if BH just doesn’t know how to play the right mind games with these guys to keep them around. That should have never happened. He should have named him the starter after spring ball.

Sneed beat him out decisively in spring ball and the coach's choice significantly benefited our program for the next two years. Prima Donna Jensen was unable to hold down a starting job elsewhere and never produced after leaving UM.

If he would have been the starter in name only after spring ball he would have been forced to stay and not have been able to transfer in the fall after Snead was named starter. Basic coaching psychology 101. What I’m saying is BH and Rosy got outplayed or their mind games totally back fired. We could have used him when Snead sucked against Weber and this year. He was better then Cam in my opinion and who knows maybe Torre stays his last year because he knew he had a guy with an cannon for an arm that would make him an all American. I blame the coaches for losing him in such a ham handed fashion. All they would have had to do is give him a few more first team reps in the spring and then say he edged out Snead as the 1 going into the fall. Pretty fucking easy, Just saying. Keep em happy until it’s not in their self interest to transfer. Portal is the new variable, along with social media, everything gets out there now ie Zach Crews. Need a program social media manager to keep tabs on everyone, and add that to the head games coaches have to play to keep a team intact. My way or the highway just doesn’t work anymore, it’s just too competitive out there now. Wyoming is imploding with what 12 guys in the portal.

Samori wanted to play FBS once his season got canceled here and he graduated. He wasn't gonna stick around for Gresch.

Please enlighten me how Hauck could have handled this better? I was informed by my son this evening that many in the locker room knew Brian was unhappy and looking other places and an outside organization was helping him. I assume this “One on One Kicking” is who helped facilitate this move, because he specifically gave them a shout-out in his Tweet dragging on the Griz coaches and organization.

This is football folks! This isn’t HS knitting class. Very few FBS programs have a dedicated coach for punter and kickers. What kind of extra support did Brian deserve? I know Brian and his father well, but damn this couldn’t have been handled better by Brian. No more excuses! Do not blame the coaches or program. My son is happy as hell to be playing for Hauck and will bleed for him every single day, just like 99% of this team.

Talk about a toxic environment. Hauck already has this issue with his own kid on the team. A lot of friction there and I don’t envy his or any coaches position right now.

The friction is on eGriz; I've seen no evidence there is friction on the team. He earns his spot every game.

Not friction on egriz. It is in the locker room. Didn’t say RH doesn’t earn his spot. Didn’t say if the friction is justified or not. You haven’t see it, doesn’t mean it isn’t real. It is real and other players have complained about it consistently. Tough spot for both Hauck’s. Can’t win regardless how good you are or how hard you work. Settle down, he averaged 45+ a punt, the next guy will average 44+, was that the reason we didn't beat James Madison? Relax, he's a one dimensional player, who's one dimension is mostly irrelevant.
