If he was the best punter after spring why wouldn’t he be given a scholarship this past season, because he was just a punter.? His post said if had been treated better he would have stayed. You would think your best players who truly contributed would be handled better by BH. We lost the best punter in the FCS as a freshman over a f###[#] scholarship? What exactly did he get as a preferred walk-on, and why would the staff care if he trained with outside coaches at his own expense to get better? Its been my observation that the Montana kids will get the preferred walk on bs offer more often then not. The kid made him self the best punter in the country on his own dime and we are pissed at him for leaving? With the portal and it’s impact on fcs team maybe BH needs to be all little more pragmatic when trying to keep our best players around. Wonder where they would be if Jensen had stayed and that was before the portal. The guy arguably directly impacted every game with his punting which resulted in wins for the program. I read that his wife played volleyball for the Griz, wonder if Frost finagled a scholarship for her with the lady huskers or just a sweet mortgage on house in Lincoln. Lol

Meh. BFD. He is a punter.
Rest assured - the Griz will have a punter next season.

One might argue that Mr. Buschini was the best defensive player on the team. I'd be willing to bet he successfully completed his assignment more often than any other defender. He's 'just a punter' until the next one shanks an important punt.

He's no longer a Griz and no longer wanted to be a Griz. Don't see why it's tacky to give the guy what he wanted.Jesse said:Carpe Diem Griz said:No mention of Brian Buschini by the GRIZ media department in the STATS All-American recognitions. That is really tacky to not include the guy if he earned the recognition.

Toure had already graduated as well, so his entering the portal came without the stigma of a side deal that had already been in the works.SoldierGriz said:uofmman1122 said:He's no longer a Griz and no longer wanted to be a Griz. Don't see why it's tacky to give the guy what he wanted.
It's not. Dude is gone. I said the same thing when Toure left. They are just players I used to know.
Not to mention the fact that Toure didn't shit talk the program and say he never wanted to be here on his way out.grizfnz said:Toure had already graduated as well, so his entering the portal came without the stigma of a side deal that had already been in the works.SoldierGriz said:It's not. I still don't see why it's petty when he straight up said he never wanted to be a Griz and probably doesn't care about what UM does or doesn't do. I'm sure he's happy now with his NIL deal and bigger exposure at Nebraska and isn't bothered by his former university treating him like he isn't a member of the team (which he isn't).Jesse said:uofmman1122 said:He's no longer a Griz and no longer wanted to be a Griz. I misspoke, it was petty. Maybe they can phot shop him out of any team pictures in the archives too, that will really show him and his wife what Griz nation thinks of him- we will no longer acknowledge him as a Griz or speak his name. :thumb:
Not taking it hard just looks and feels petty and juvenile to me. I’m unclear on the way he left, what are the details, I saw the post shading the program, where he said something to the effect if he had been treated better maybe he would have stayed. What else happened that pissed everyone off, I assume you mean the coaching staff?uofmman1122 said:I still don't see why it's petty when he straight up said he never wanted to be a Griz and probably doesn't care about what UM does or doesn't do. That's not even mentioning the shady way he left and how he pissed everyone off on his way out.
You seem to be taking it a lot harder than he is, though.

I misspoke, it was petty and a bad look. You think the fellas on the team don’t notice when they pull this shit?
