Brian Buschini in transfer portal

Salmonfly said:
Brian just tweeted and quickly deleted a Tweet saying UM didn’t develop him. That his private coaches did. Says playing at UM is nobody’s dream and that maybe if he were treated better he would have stayed. Don’t know how to post the screen shot.

I have some concerns here, but I didn’t see this Tweet. I like Brian and he is a good person. He has an edge to him that he unloads on the field. I like that a lot! What I don’t like is his running the program and coaches down. Brian was a preferred walk-on. He was given the opportunity and tools and he worked hard at honing them. The coaches saw his hard work paying off and gave him the opportunity to showcase those skills on the field this year. It has turned into his leaving the Griz program and going to play for a sub-par NE team, and that is me being generous. Don’t put the program down that gave you every opportunity that you are being given today. Gift horse in the mouth? Who knows, maybe just my reaction to hearing about what he wrote about the coaches. .

Lastly, it’s interesting (kinda suspect) that Brian announced he was entering the portal and almost immediately had an offer from NE. There is a lot here not adding up.

Don’t be this guy, Brian. Leave on a high note, no matter how slighted you feel.

Ever used the cloud before (iCloud, google drive, OneDrive, Dropbox,…..etc)? pretty easy to share screenshots these days

...once a griz..always a griz...
...once you enter the portal...
***once a griz..always a griz***

I can help with this bit. Pretty wild 24 hours for Brian. Just as the Nebraska basketball team is about to get penalized for some sort of violation, too.

Edit: feel free to delete this message since I can't on my end, and someone else has already posted my image from the AGS punter thread before this was approved. I don't want to be seen as some troll, and hopefully I can contribute something insightful later on as my first post.

Probably right.

Just a thought . . .could this be the connection??

Schillinger enters his fourth season coaching the safeties at his alma mater in 2019. He returned to Missoula in 2016 from the University of Nebraska, where the Baker, Mont., native served as a special teams assistant for the Huskers under former Montana assistant coach Bruce Read, son of legendary Grizzly coach Don Read.

Have a hard time speculating that Shann would contribute to NE poaching our players.

I haven’t used this site in the past. I have the pic but when I try to post it brings up a non working hyper link or just says image. I may not be up to date on my computers but I feel like this site is even further in the past than me

I’m not great at tech but I can usually figure things out. I have never been able to master the “post an image to egriz” process.

Oh, I think it is.

Having ties to Nebraska and knowing Frost is likely done next year, the quick decision without fielding more offers seems less than "thoughtful". As a Nebraska fan I would love to see his punting help flip Nebraska's won/loss record but what does he do when the next coach doesn't believe in full rides for kickers/punters?

Buschini can do whatever he wants to at this point. He did make himself into a FBS punter, but that would not have happened without the services the UM program offered to him over the past 12-24 months.

I don't know what transpired behind closed doors and what the issue is between Buschini and Hauck is probably best left there. I just know that Bobby was particularly terse when asked about it on the coaches show, and he's made it clear. He wants kids to commit to the program and if they want to explore other pastures he'll let them go. Bobby doesn't need to be happy about it, he doesn't have to wish them good luck in the press and shouldn't have to give them congratulatory parting gifts.

Buschini did what was best for him and you can't fault him for that. Buschini remaining here was in the best interest for Bobby and his program and no doubt Brian was reminded of that in some form as he exited the program. My guess he was also reminded that few coaches commit as much focus or details to the Special Teams room as he does. Maybe that is why the recoil or knee-jerk response may have rejected, because there are a number of people who made it abundantly clear they felt Bobby and the program might have been responsible for his success this year. That is partially true, but again I wish nothing but the best for Brian and his family. Good luck in Lincoln.

He was a walk-on and unsatisfied that a schollie wasn't made retroactive. Understandable.

Kem, you do realize that Salmonfly is simply trolling Griz nation?

Wow smell that bridge burning from here.

Kind of a prima donna isn't he? Rohrbach is better anyways. That boy can flat out punt the ball. I timed a few of his punts this past fall and got consistent 5 second hang times. We won't miss a beat.
