Depending on how the season plays our 5-6 is possible this year for the BSC.

Wow! Don't see it. Good luck with that prediction. You must win in Vegas.
We got 5 teams in last year, so I'm not sure why that would be such a stretch.

You’re right, it’ll matter, but this Ferris team was better than the Stetson team the kittens played yesterday. Further, the division two win doesn’t count as one of the minimum amount of wins to get into the brackets, but the committee knows how good this Ferris team is. As Hoops said in another thread, I think, Michigan doesn’t have FCS teams. This game was good for the Griz to play before the conference games begin. The irony is, Ferris was better than Butler and Utah Tech, and yet the game doesn’t count.

What do the Bobcats have to do with this game.

The committee also knows the #16 D2 team put up 300 yards and 28 points against Ferris the week before. They also know this was played at Washington/Griz not just any home field.

There is another part of getting into the brackets you are missing, quality wins. Who is going to be a quality win when the Griz have 7 D1 wins? They will not a win against a top 25 team. They will most likely lose 4 of the last 6 That doesn’t look good on the bubble.

There were a lot of questions about the Griz before this game, this solidified the answers. Those answers aren’t good

Wow! An intelligent egriz poster, who obviously eschews grape Kool-Aid

BH is not stuck. I see a lot of difference between this year and previous years offenses. I QB who can throw and play calling isnt zone read every play. Im not jumping on the can Bobby band wagon as he is a good coach and to say he isnt evolving is simply not true.

Yeah, he "evolved" all the way to 189 total yards........ his lowest offensive production in his entire tenure.

Pease has been fired from every other coaching job he has had......... there was a reason, and we are witnessing it now up close and in person.

I hate to be such a Debbie downer, but it's clear to me that he was hired because he was friends with or had connections to Hauk/Coaching staff, not because of his ability and that is a problem. I'm no expert but adaptability based on what personnel you have seems to be a required tenant to be a coach, and his continued attempts to do the same thing over and over again despite them not working on top of other issues has me concerned moving forward.

It doesn't help when the best QB #17 is on the bench. The only QB to consistently move the chains on offense. And only went in for 2-3 plays. Hauck said the starter will be determined by how they play. And #17 has played better than #7.

If we're going to be a true 2 QB system we need to follow what MSU and I think Sac State has been doing. Hauk seems content to let one QB play until they screw up or almost the whole game, MSU will switch QBs depending on field location, down and distance and certain styles of plays and packages. McDowell is a hell of a runner but his passing game leaves alot to be desired IMO, vice versa with Vidlak, need to actually run the system to its full potential.

No adjustments? You apparently didn’t watch the second half. I thought the offense really improved. Vidlak got it dialed in in the passing game and it turns out, that was really working. That was definitely an adjustment made at halftime and it led to 14 points in the third quarter. Now there’s no excuse for how poor the first half was offensively and they need to figure that out cause 9 times out of 10, you lose playing that poorly in the first half. Regardless, give credit for them adjusting at halftime and finding out what worked in the second half
Actually, give credit to the defense for holding Ferris to 10 points and 285 yards total offense in spite of being on the field for 33.5 minutes.

First half 107 yards of total offense if I remember
Second half 82 yards

I don’t know about that narrative

We'll its visually obvious that you are unwilling to learn it's not yards that win games , its point on the score board....

Proof you cant teach the stupid to be anything other than stupid

The reality is that neither of them are good. Something that seems to escape many posters on here.

How would you know? You don’t understand football. You just want to negative. And sexist towards women.

You are no Griz fan, Jack. You are nothing more than a Bobby Hauck fan. You whined like a school girl when Haslam hired Stitt, and didn't hire your buddy Hauck. And you worked behind the scenes the entire three years Stitt was our coach to undermine him. Just like you have tried to undermine Holsinger after you took your ball and went home and threatened to withhold your big-shot donations to the athletic department when he purged the dead weight from his program. When nobody blinked from your threats, you understood that nobody cares whether you donate or not.
And you will do the same thing when Bobby is ultimately fired for not delivering. Posters need to know who you really are......... and you are not a true Griz fan. You are the worst possible fan....... a non-alum who tries to buy influence by donating, and who believes that his donation gives him a say in any decisions by the athletic department.

I didn’t oppose Stitt. I actually provided info to him in the weeks before the announcement including on the assistants. One of my best friends was Stitt’s teammate and roommate in college. I met Stitt right away and became friendly with him. Never worked to get him fired, although ultimately thought he would not be renewed.

Never tried to get Holsinger fired. I’ve never donated more than a few hundred a year to woman’s hoops.

I haven’t talked to Haslam in years. Have never tried to influence Griz athletics in any respect ever, but I post on egriz.

Nice try, you loser and liar. You never played the game and don’t understand it.

And yet, he seems to understand perfectly the game you are trying to play.

He gets defensive when exposed for who he is. There is no worse fan that a non-alum trying to be a big fish in a little pond by buying his way into relevance. The only reason I am so fixated on him, is his constant greater-than-thou attitude, name-dropping, and calling everyone jerks in an attempt to overcome his obvious insecurity.

But what pisses me off, is that Payton doesn't apply the same banning rules to him as he does to me and others. Do mods have a term limit?

pretty good when a coach can have the lowest offensive production in his 22 year head coaching career and still come away with a win. :thumb:
