You’re right, it’ll matter, but this Ferris team was better than the Stetson team the kittens played yesterday. Further, the division two win doesn’t count as one of the minimum amount of wins to get into the brackets, but the committee knows how good this Ferris team is. As Hoops said in another thread, I think, Michigan doesn’t have FCS teams. This game was good for the Griz to play before the conference games begin. The irony is, Ferris was better than Butler and Utah Tech, and yet the game doesn’t count.

What do the Bobcats have to do with this game.

The committee also knows the #16 D2 team put up 300 yards and 28 points against Ferris the week before. They also know this was played at Washington/Griz not just any home field.

There is another part of getting into the brackets you are missing, quality wins. Who is going to be a quality win when the Griz have 7 D1 wins? They will not a win against a top 25 team. They will most likely lose 4 of the last 6 That doesn’t look good on the bubble.

There were a lot of questions about the Griz before this game, this solidified the answers. Those answers aren’t good

How much do you want to bet that the Griz will lose 4 of its last 6 regular season games? I say the Griz do better than that. $100? $500?

The O is stuck in old time football mode. It’s the core of the offense. Can’t be changed in mid season. The coach’s preseason poll may be right. Will a sixth place finish in the Big Sky cost BH his job?

What’s the old time football mode?

No adjustments, mentality of “we know best”, not getting flow or getting it to our playmakers. Just saying, no originality or creativity. Good ol boys club. Do you really think only putting up 17 against Ferris state will get us anywhere against the top teams in the big sky?

Griz need to keep getting better. Especially O. 17 is good enough if D only gives up 10. I choose to enjoy the wins, support the team, hope for continued improvement, and trash the coaches or players. I don’t believe complaining, trashing the coaches, and trashing the team, does any good. In fact, it may be counterproductive.

You should really learn to proofread.....or "quit choosing to trash the coaches and players".

It does no good and may be counterproductive.

Ivy League?

No adjustments? You apparently didn’t watch the second half. I thought the offense really improved. Vidlak got it dialed in in the passing game and it turns out, that was really working. That was definitely an adjustment made at halftime and it led to 14 points in the third quarter. Now there’s no excuse for how poor the first half was offensively and they need to figure that out cause 9 times out of 10, you lose playing that poorly in the first half. Regardless, give credit for them adjusting at halftime and finding out what worked in the second half

First half 107 yards of total offense if I remember
Second half 82 yards

I don’t know about that narrative

3d Q was 2 TD’s. That’s all we needed.

Yep! A win is a win. It’s just amazing that there are so many great coaches here on Egriz.

Interesting. So in the playoff committee’s eyes, and they are deciding against two bubble teams, they don’t care if one team has a win over a top ten opponent and the other teams signature win is against a D2 team by 7 at home?

Still the conference to go, and you've written them off, or don't want them to win. The Griz will not be a bubble team, so that won't come into play. I love college football. Everyone has an eye test before the the season has really gotten going. The season starts next week.

If the Griz lose 4 of the last 6, they probably don’t belong in the playoffs anyway. But THAT team that came into Wa/Griz would be a top 25 FCS team TOMORROW if they moved up. If they had an actual QB that could throw they’d be dangerous.

Right now UM is sitting at #62 in total offense and #26 in scoring offense rankings in FCS. That tells you all you need to know about pease and where this offense currently sits. Pretty sad state of affairs on the offensive side of the ball for the Griz. Meanwhile, the neighbors stand at #1 in both scoring and total offense.

2 yards and a cloud of dust off tackle. Only throw the ball 15 times when you can’t run it. Zero creativity. Did you watch the creativity of the Ferris offense? Just saying.

The biggest issues I have with Pease:

-Kept running outside despite it not working

-Abandoned power running game that was Gashing Ferris

-0 Effort to get the ball into our playmaker hands, supposedly what was going to happen and it didn't do it nearly enough

We have the talent at the skill position to light up the scoreboard and yet a terrible scheme and play calling will hold us back vs good teams

Who are the playmakers deserving the ball, besides Bergen ?

Literally nobody. A testament to Booby hacks awesome recruiting! Your best player is a Cat hand me down…

An NAIA team doubled our offensive production against Ferris just a week earlier. Does that tell you anything about Pease and our offense?

Ashland isn’t an NAIA team, they were the 16th ranked D2 team. Still not great, just pointing out that Ashland is not NAIA

Gubner is our best player. The Griz have no Cat hand me downs.

BH is not stuck. I see a lot of difference between this year and previous years offenses. I QB who can throw and play calling isnt zone read every play. Im not jumping on the can Bobby band wagon as he is a good coach and to say he isnt evolving is simply not true.

 that's show poor FCS is if that statement is true.
