This may very well get moved off this board. But thought it was somehow relevant to UM football. I dont think that after what happened to Mick down there BH would be a candidate, but who knows.

Why would he want to be a candidate? The road to nowhere!!!
 
It would be cool to see Kragthorpe, Jr. find his way there. The Louisville gig is not going so well.
 
Man, you guys can be mean. JLS, from what I hear is still making money from his Michigan State contract. The persistant RUMOR I have heard, it that he will coach for free his first year, and he wants the money the university would have paid him to go to increased salaries for his assistant coaches.

I guess, we will see if it really plays out that way.

Not trying to be mean, maybe you are a tad too thin skinned for Egriz. Face it, John L has been looking for work for some time now. He is a good guy, a decent coach, but face it, if he is lobbying for a job coaching Utah State that tells me something.
 
That may be. He did embarass himself at MSU, but he is still a very good coach, better than USU could afford under any circumstances. Personally, I would take him over any coach in the Big Sky Conference, no disrespect intended. From what I hear he likes the general area and wants to retire to his place in Park City, UT.
 
This worries me. Guy wanted to play Weber and one of his assistants said they are scheduling Weber for 2010. I wonder if it wont happen now...Dang!! I was expecting this to be our 2nd str8 FBS win, after beating WYO in 2009.
 
I wouldn't count those wins before they happen wildcat. I still think USU will schedule Weber State because the new AD says he wants to play less Oklahomas and more reginal FCS teams.

The Salt Lake Tribune is reporting that John L. Smith is also interested in the Wyoming job if Joe Glenn is fired. No word on if Wyoming is interested in Smith.

Another guy USU looked at before and may interview again would be Mike Canales, who's a USU alum. IMO, that would be a GREAT hire. He's been ready for a head coaching job for several years now.
