Welcome home coach Hauck! And another thing we don't want/ need Ty Gregorak!!! He's the drunken Bobcat.:( :( He belong's right there in the litterbox! He fits in perfectly, (where he's at playing below .500 ball and getting praise for it) No expectations at all! Waco here we come!!! "NUFF SAID! A BIG, BIG "THANKS" to president Bodnar and AD Haslam for seeing this thing through! You will not be disappointment-ed! Our players should be ecstatic with this announcement! They will now have a legit shot at a NC, if they follow coach Haucks lead... I haven't been this excited since 2001 when we won it all...
What's in Waco?

Just trying to get things straight here.
First Hauck was criticized by many because he wouldn't answer a reporters questions.
Now Haslam is being slammed for being close-mouthed about Hauck's possible hiring.

These two belong with each other :thumb:

He has no salary yet, the BOR has to approve a salary package, and they are also looking at anything they do affecting MSU's salary package for Choate as well. This will be interesting.

Of course. Lil' bro wants a new bike, too. Man, it gets old having the ol' State College anchor.

Now that is funny. Obviously the university in the state that is the anchor isnt the one with the dwindling numbers and massive cuts happening but the university with surging enrollment and new buildings going up around every corner.
I'm not going to derail this whole thing and get into that topic, really not my intention, that comment was just too dumb to ignore.

Honestly though, congrats on the new coach hire, should make things pretty interesting in the big sky for the next few years.

Yeah, it gets old having State College as an anchor. I stand by it. History proves it. I agree that it's not on-topic.

cad just can't help but creme his cupcakes over any perceived good news coming out of Missoula. Congrats Cupcake!!! :D

Will Bobby Hauck be named coach of the Griz? From my perspective, yes. But I also know nothing is done yet. Kent Haslam told me tonight he is still in the thick of the vetting process. No offer made yet. Wants to get this 100% right.

Haslam denies Stitt hired as Griz coach
Missoulian Staff Dec 12, 2014

Despite media reports that Bob Stitt will be hired as the next Grizzly football coach, Montana Athletic Director Kent Haslam maintained that no hire is pending.

Fox Sports first reported that Stitt, who recently completed his 15th season at the NCAA Division II Colorado School of Mines, would replace the retired Mick Delaney as head man of the Griz program.

"To be honest, I haven't got anything I can announce right now," Haslam said. "The job has not been offered to anybody right now. When the time is right, we'll certainly make an announcement. I know everybody is really antsy for a decision."

So about 4 days later (on the 16th) that there was a press conference and it was made official that Stitt had been hired. I hope it doesn't take that long this time. It'd be nice to have it completely settled and announced before the weekend.

From what I am hearing it should be but I primarily posted this to show the Haslam pattern.

I was actually talking about the representation of Hauck's prior tenure here in comparison to yesterdays Kato article. I do think Hauck is the next coach though

Disagree. The article stated it was still pending approval by the BOR.
