San Diego Union-Tribune posting still no official offer....but he still has the job. So if there is no offer, it cannot have gone to CC for approval yet. Hard to approve something that doesn't exist. It's coming, but not yet.

“It’s not official,” SDSU head coach Rocky Long said Thursday. “I talked to him this morning. He has not been given the job. He has indications he is going to be offered the job, but it’s not from the guy in charge. As soon as he knows anything for sure, we’ll let everybody know.”

That's more actual information than any local press has....might need to follow the San Diego press to know what is actually going on around here

It sure beats following the Local Rag Sheet......aka Missoulian.

Funny thing is Beau Baldwin's bio was updated on Wikipedia the other day as being the head coach at Oregon State, and now back to his current position. Bobby's is still listed as being special team San Diego State.

Some Beaver fan was....hashtag, jumpingthegun

Or maybe it was Beau?

Who cares when us peons find out? Other than us peons. You can bet the ass't coaches and the recruits know.
Haslam is just doing his job and making sure that everything is in line before making an official announcement.

All will be well. Bobby's back and the Scats are f...ed!

That is what really matters

I can tell you not all current players know more than us "peons"so there is that....
Did I mention current players somewhere? I'm still looking for that part.

No you didn't....just pointing out it isn't just "peons"....and contrary to your statement I thibk they MATTER

I'm still trying to figure out why you keep putting words and thoughts in my post?

I never said players don't matter. And I'm sure you know lots of players, so I would like you to ask them this question, Do they really care whether Haslam announce Hauck as the coach on a Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday? Do they care if Egriz knows every step of what is going on?

And, most importantly, are they OK with Hauck being named head coach or do you think there will be a wholesale exodus on their part.
You know them, please inform us. I'm serious - players do matter. But I would guess that if they read the comments from former Griz greats, they would be as excited as I am at the news of Hauck's impending hiring.

This seems to be what Haslam and Amie Just have been saying.

I just added players since you mentioned asst. coaches and recruits know but did not refer to players knowing....just added they are in the dark.

I do not think hearing if Hauck got it is known today or next week will matter to them about leaving.....just that it sucks for them to not know the decision about something to important to them 24/7 and if it is going to be Hauck as alluded by so many for days then the "process" sure was slow in finalizing. As per San Diego coach as of earlier today even Bobby still didn't know. If the "guy" in charge is Haslam or CC and both were in process seems it sure could have ended before all the crap has exploded. I also think they are concerned about the assisstants since some have close relationships with them. Not knowing is hell.....on everyone

I do think some will leave, but do not see that as all bad....wrong system perhaps, not as good as Stitt thought perhaps or will not be able to handle a tough Bobby program (which is best for all of that type to leave if the case).

I do think tomorrow is the day (as has been rumored ALL week) that's why I put my over/under post for tomorrow at 2:00.

I agree. We saw the mess at Oregon State & Tennessee. Now I see Arizona State is telling their fan base to be patient...some of the same things we are hearing. Social Media has really changed how news is released. It's sort of storm chasing, you want to be the guy/gal closest to the action, without get trashed by it.

Just don't like people saying I said things that I didn't say. I get in enough trouble with my own stoopid words.

No harm, no foul.

I had the same thought late yesterday. Now I'm an old geezer ... no question. But I worked in science, where change was the norm ... I was using a desktop computer a couple years before the first "personal" computer (generally credited to Altair) hit the market. Anybody remember the HP 9830? I learned BASIC to program the damn thing (FORTRAN guy up until then).

My point -- yes, there is a point here -- the Internet and the World Wide Web have been around now for a long generation. Yes, the pace of change keeps accelerating. But you'd think by now that institutions and people and processes would have adapted to the way information (and, sadly, mis-information) flows almost instantaneously around the whole world. People need to accept that, adapt to it, and "go with the flow." Clearly, they have not, and seem to want to keep doing "business as usual."

I do not know a damn thing, beyond what's been on eGriz and a few (apparently) independent reports. But I suspect the story goes like this: We need to replace Stitt ASAP. BH was/is our prime candidate and has informally expressed interest in the job. But that had to be verified and vetted through various "stake-holder" (who mostly wish to remain anonymous). That will take time. You will hear rumors that a final decision has already been made, but that is not a fact. We cannot say exactly when the process will be complete, but we are aiming for xxx days [or whatever]. A "pre-emptive strike" -- early press release -- along those lines would not have quieted the bitching here on eGriz, but it would have significantly enhanced their credibility compared to the drib and drabs of BS that we've been seeing and hearing.

Welcome back, Bobby. Hope you bring back some swagger. I believe in your disciplined approach to football, academics, and life in general. :thumb:

Even a clock is right twice a day. Brint had this all along. Stated Friday long before anyway else.

True, but a couple days after Brint.

You need to demand more out of your clocks.

Kyle is sure hope your correct man. I am not sure any Griz fan, me included could go all weekend waiting to hear “officially “ . Make it official already UM.

So last night he was the coach about 9 pm. Then at 10 pm wasn't. Now he is again? Just keeping this all straight.

So he was for about 5 minutes....then wasn't....now is, again....... do we need to consider him 37th and 38th coach?
