grizCat is probably the stupidest sounding thing I've ever heard anywhere in the history of sports.

I grew up when dinosaurs ruled the earth. It was Cat-Griz statewide back then, except in Missoula where it was Grizzley-Bobcat. CAT-GRIZ baby.

The Brawl or The Divide are good nationally. Anyone from Montana will always say Cat/Griz.

That's interesting. I've been around quite a long time as well and have pretty much traveled to every town in Montana and I had never heard anyone call it Griz Cat until ten, maybe fifteen years ago. All good, to each his own.

To me its whose name comes first. That's all. Other than that it makes no difference.

Am I the only one who just calls it the "Cat Game"? It's how I call the games against Weber and Eastern the "Weber Game" and the "Eastern Game". The Griz part of it is a given.
