MBBALL Brawl Game Thread

I keep hearing, " Money Williams goes left, goes left, goes left." I don't know much about basketball, but I do know if a player is right handed, he or she needs to be able to go left and use the left hand off the glass for layups and vice versa. I hope Travis and staff work with Money on going right, using his right hand--they probably already are and hopefully later this year we'll hear, " Money goes right with a right-hand layup." That will make defending him @ least somewhat more difficult !!!
 
Can we get Kai another year somehow?

Also, it would be interesting to see the +/- for the different parts where the Griz are playing regular (free flowing) pace compared to their slow-it-down style. 18 point lead to 3 almost solely because of change of pace. During 6 min (or whatever) drought, I wonder how many actual shots they got off and then sluggishness carries over to defensive end and they give up lots of easy baskets.

If you paid any attention to the game and ever watched Griz bb Money Williams is left handed.

There is the video on twitter of him playing Griz (Horse). He literally can’t shoot with his right. Hopefully he learns.
 
Yeah, I couldn't find the game on GRIZ Radio on KBLG 910 AM or ESPN Radio ( 105.5 FM) here in Billings, so I listened on the Shi##y Kitty Station 790 AM, KGHL

And the announcers at one point threw shade all over Money. Something like " Money Williams is supposed to be an NBA second-round draft pick. Tonight he looks like a second team Big Sky bench player." And they made the comment that the MSU defenders needed to make Money go right because he can only go left.

I hope Money goes off on The Shi##y Kitties in February the way he went off on Tennesse--I would love to see these SK cheese 🧀 dicks eat a big serving of GRIZ humble pie in Boz Angeles in February !!!
 
Good win tonight. Outside of the cats scoring the first 4 points of the game, we never trailed tonight. I thought the first half was outstanding! Offense was great, defense was great, and rebounding was great! Walker played well for the first 10 minutes but after that we really disrupted him and the cats struggled for a while to find something else to go to.

As for the second half, the first 10 minutes were good, but the momentum shifted when we had those back to back fast breaks that we failed to turn into points. The first one Money rim checked himself on and should’ve settled for the layup, and the second one he like tripped over his own feet and it led to a discombobulated possession with no points. From there the cats swung the momentum when we could’ve gone up by 15 and all but buried them. Regardless, I’m not gonna complain too much when we win.

Happy for Kai Johnson having the huge night that he did. I think it paid off starting him and he’s earned that spot after tonight. Great job by Money and Moore to close the game out with the big free throws at the end. Shout out Pridgen too for being a force down low. They had a hard time defending him.

Big one Thursday night against Portland State. The Viks are legit this year, but have struggled on the road. Boys need to bring their a game next week. Go Griz!

Those fuckers are so classless. Their radio guy is one of the worst out there 🙄
 
I couldn't find the GRIZ station here in Billings--Please see my post above, '68., so I listened to 790 AM, the MSU station. These two are apparently their regular announcers, including on the road, '68, and I am assuming Rikey and his game analyst do the same and go on the road with us

I am talking about the game on ESPN+, not the radio.
 
You know @ the sequel in Feb., we will have the Shi##y Kitty football team @ half time do their team perp walk carrying The Great Divide trophy 🏆 celebrating their Brawl win over us.

Wouldn't it be great if a group of us GRIZ fans would then stand up, most wearing GRIZ gear all marooned up but s few wearing bright green and gold NDSU gear, all waving a small handheld GRIZ flag in the right hand and a NDSU Bison flag in the left hand ?

Okay, please humor me--you have to admit that would be fun, at least for us and Bieon fans !!!
