with how bad BH hates everything that is the cats, would he hire one? I hate the idea of even thinking about hiring traitorak. The only silver lining is that it would be a slap in the face to the cats, and set them back even more.

Set them back even more???... says the fan of a team with NO COACH!! :thumb:

Don't kid yourself we have a coach. It seems you, the missoulain, and Haslam are the only ones that haven't publicly acknowledged it yet. You really are content with loosing seasons. it's like being sub 500 is a good thing and you are happy about it. When was the last time you had a winning season? can you remind me. It must really be rough over in bobcat land. I know that you will remind me that you beat the griz the last two years, but over hear we look at the season as a whole. Not relish in the Quality losses and a key win here and there. Anything less than playoffs is a disappointment and change is made. The cats can keep being happy with sub 500 and staying the course.

And maybe DC

I'm not sure I'm on board with that. Really? just go to the cats to take it to Stitt for 2 years, then come back? Just don't like that type of person, regardless on who it would be or which team he went to. Tells a lot about him in coaching circles. I think he'd be great, don't get me wrong, but it feels a little 7th grade-ish for me.

There's so much more to it than that though. Stitt made it abundantly clear that Semore would be his coordinator. Ty was basically sent packing or having to look for other options. Choate made the smartest move ever by reaching out to him immediately after our loss to the bison in the playoffs and said come this way. Guy was basically out of a job, has a family and young kids, and decided to take the position. Not sure I really blame him even though I hated that it was for the cats. You could tell he didn't love being there right away and missed the grizzlies quite a bit. He did interview for this head coach job here but I don't think he will come back as just a coordinator he really wants to be a head coach

Good post. Man has gotta eat, and loves Montana. Maybe he was playing the long ball? Not sure but would be interesting seeing him and Bobby back together.

Would be damn hilarious to watch bobcat nation lose what's left of their collective shit dredged from the shit pond.

I would have no problem with Gregorak coming back. It was a business decision. He didn't get the HC position, then Stitt basically showed him the door. What choice did he have? His wife has Bozeman ties, he needed a job, he has a family to support. Nice area to live, best atmosphere behind the Griz in the Big Sky. I'm thinking he always wanted to come back, just staying close. On a couple year intelligence mission...

I agree. I would love to see Gregorak back as a Griz coach. He is a great coach, and only left UM due to Stitt's incompetence/stupidity and Ty's need to support his family and desire to stay in Montana.

the BOBS are pretty nervous about losing TY believe me..I think he knows he cross the line when he
went with BOBS..I'm not sure Bobby could convince him to come back but l think Andy Thompson be
a good choice with Branda Fisher..

I don't see the problem with TG going to to bozo. He was fired by Stitt and took his skills where they were most valuable. Personally I'm not that enameled with his coaching, but I'd love to see the Bozeman fans freak out if he came to Missoula.

I don’t recall him being fired; believe he pitched a quiet fit after Stitt got the HC jobber. Sulked for a year and went to the other playground.

On a side note, I bet TG can down a bunch of soft shell tacos.

Not saying it couldn't happen, but I would honestly be very surprised if he did go back. And that is based purely from a career perspective. He already made one lateral move within the division, I just can't see him doing that again when he clearly wants to become a HC at some point in his career.

His best shot at a HC position is to stay with the Cats for another season or two and complete his turnaround of the defense. He took over what was by most measures a very bad defense 2 years ago. They are substantially better now and should continue that trend under him. Purely from a resume perspective, that would be huge to be able to show the difference he made on the defense in a 3-4 year span.

Making another lateral move for a couple years doesn't do as much for the resume in my opinion.

And from what I've heard is that he gets along great with Choate, so that helps the situation.

I don't think he goes anywhere this year, the blending of the defensive scheme of Choate and Gregorak isn't complete yet, I think they are both still learning from each other and if they get a few players in place they will have a very good defense and TG will be able to punch his ticket into the FBS or a HC job. At this point it would be a setback to him to make the lateral move back to the fizz.

I agree with the guy above that he was somewhat uncomfortable in Bozeman at first, but I think at this point he feels it was a very good decision. His family is happy and secure and he is building a very good defense with Choate.

The only way I see him in maroon again is if he gets the HC after bobby burns the place down and um has its next biannual coaching change.

Stitt stripped him of his play calling duties mid season. Basically forced Ty out so that his boy Semore could take over, and we all saw how that worked out. Ty found himself in a no win situation & Choate offered him an out. Add to it his wife's family being from Bozeman, and he did what he had to do. I don't blame Ty for leaving, I blame Stitt for forcing him out for that joke of a DC Semore
