Brandon Fisher and Dad out at the Rams...

Funny thing is the Rams gave him a contract extension like 2 weeks ago...
Actually, the contract was signed in the preseason and just became public two weeks ago.

He would be mediocre wherever he coached. The Griz have nothing to do with it.

Lol @ people who assume NFL coaches automatically make good college coaches and vice versa. Totally different animals. And Jeff Fisher isn't even a successful NFL coach, so why that would make him a good candidate for a college coach I have no clue.. See the picture below your original comment for direct recent evidence of this phenomenon in the Big Sky.

Hope this doesn't have negative vibes for Chase Reynolds. Jeff Fisher has been Chase's NFL "godfather". Interesting that the temporary replacement, however, is the special teams coach---so he knows Chase well.

Noticed a couple of weeks ago that Chase actually had a kickoff return. As far as I know one of the few times he has actually carried the football in a regular season game. (My hope has always been that he could get some time returning kicks and punts as he has an uncanny ability to "see the field." --- though probably not the raw speed they are looking for.)

Jeff Fisher has been a head coach for 19 years with 11 playoff appearances.... He's over .500(barely)

Not quite sure what you determine as "successful" but there aren't many NFL coaches with a much better resume.

It was nice of the Rams to fire him before he became the biggest loser in NFL history.

Yah... total losses add up when you go .500 over 20 years. Fisher is also 11th in wins so... Only active coach ahead of him is Belicheck. Obviously Fisher could have done better but he will be constantly considered for HoF if not inducted when he retires. I think any coach would consider that "successful"

Fisher will never be considered for the HOF.

There is a huge difference between being eligible for the HOF and seriously being considered for the HOF. Fisher is an average NFL head coach that benefited, and I am sure no one knows exactly why, longevity. The guy is for the most part, an 8-8 every season head coach.

Fisher would probably have similar results, but without the entertaining quotes to amuse us.

I think if Fisher wants to continue coaching it will be as a defensive assistant or coordinator in the NFL. I'm guessing he has enough connections that he will have plenty of opportunities to do that. He has never coached in college. I highly doubt he ever will. Chances of him ever coaching in Montana? 0%.

You also has to consider that not everyone wants to work in the same place that they vacation/recreate. Montana is pretty popular place for wealthy people to escape, but usually not to work.

For any of you who are anglers, Brandon wrote an article for the Drake magazine in their fall issue discussing a permit fishing trip in Mexico with his Dad.

...lose a few if you hang around...
...pretty good company in the loss column...
...landry..halas..schula..noll..lambeau..brown...

... :loser: ...

I love Chase but he is dang near 30, we'll see if he can hang around in the league next year. He isn't getting any younger, loved watching him though when he was here. Not only was he entertaining on the field, but his story is awesome!
