So now Hauck is a better coach than Jeff Fisher....

SMFH

Not exactly sure where you came up with that as there has been no mention of Hauck in this thread, but hey, it’s your a$$, feel free to pull anything you want out of it...

:coffee:

Jeff Fisher was an NFL head coach for 21 years with an above .500 record and was about 3 feet away from winning a Super Bowl......do you people that are calling him a shit coach actually hear yourselves? In what world do you think having him as the head guy with his kid as the DC.....or possibly the other way around.....is a bad idea? The man coached at the highest level for two decades.....you don't think he would absolutely CRUSH the FCS level recruiting??? What kid that isn't getting power 5 offers wouldn't want to play for him?

I am a Hauck guy all the way, but if Jeff was actually willing to contractually commit to the program for an extended period of time, I'd be all about giving him and Brandon the job. The upside is insane with him here. And I feel like Brandon is definitely going to go places as a coach. I'd really like to see him as Bobby's DC is they do in fact give BH the job.

Brandan and or Jeff would make great Collegiate coaches

BRANDON might well turn out to be, but thought I read here that Jeff felt like he, meaning Jeff, wouldn’t be.

Jeff doesn’t think he would be a good college coach. Way different than the NFL. Plus he has no desire to go out and recruit. But he thinks Brandon would be an amazing college coach.

Brandon just isn't ready for a head job. I do think if his dad was locked in somehow and would run the defense and assisted with the X's and O's then I'd be willing to give them a shot. But like I have said, Jeff would have to have some sort of contractual commitment. His knowledge and reputation/name would be a must to help Brandon recruit and get through the bumps and bruises that are on the learning curve.

I would like Branden sp? To be part of this staff and have the opportunity to eventually transition down the road.

Brandon and Jeff Fisher are great examples of Montana football but Bobby Hauck is our man, hands down!!! Welcome back Bobby!!! :) :)

Based upon what exactly?

They know the game, have a passion for the sport, and are currently in need of a job.
What exactly about Jeff makes you believe he has “passion”?

He resembles something similar to a wet towel on the sideline. I’d rather have Tyler G.

Now that’s just desperation. C’mon man, you’re better than that.

Brandan needs to prove that he is a good college assistant coach before being considered for a head job or even a coordinator job for that matter... Can't expect those jobs to be offered to you based on your last name. Spending time as an assistant on NFL staff is good experience, but I would hope that we would hire proven head coaches and coordinators, not give a young kid that has yet to even coach a position group in college. Lots of these guys bounce around and move their families to even put themselves into position to get a coordinating gig.

...just a thought..son takes HC and Jeff Fisher (father) commits himself to DC..not a bad back up
plan if other candidates fall out!
Well, let’s see. A guy with 0 head coach experience with a dude who is 115-105 lifetime as a head coach. Sounds like a winning combination
In the NFL... 🤨
So...a subpar record as an NFL coach automatically spells success in the collegiate ranks? About as on par as saying being a 63%er in D2 ball would make you a successful D1 coach.

Dan Devine is an example of a sub-par NFL coach but a great college coach. Also Chip Kelley and Jim Harbaugh. I think that higher level coaching experience translates fairly well to FBS and FCS. Now mediocre D2 experience doesn’t necessarily translate up to FCS let alone FBS.
