Braeden Orlandi (16) Defensive Back - In 2024, Braeden was named as a First Team Frontier Conference selection… he appeared in ten games… and made 77 total tackles

Really hoped he was going to be a Bobcat, bummer. Well good get for you guys.
He put up those numbers as a RS Freshamn. He had 130+ tackles and was DPoY for all NAIA this year as RS Soph. He has two years left for Griz!As a Redshirt Junior:

I didn’t even see that MSU had offered him
He led the NAIA in tackles this year. With his size and speed it’s a wonder he wasn’t already on a D1 roster somewhere.

Agree 100%. It’s amazing how many dudes go unnoticed and land in in AIA or division two
I’m not sure they did but Vigen was following him so I’m guessing there was some discussion

This will make 3 Frontier Conference studs joining our team since DE Ryder Rice was our first in 2019--Ryder was a stud DE from Rocky Mountain College here in Billings and joined Da GRIZ as a graduate transfer after leading the Frontier Conference in 2018 with 12.5 sacks and was First Team, All-Frontier Conference, and 2nd Team AP NAIA All-American.
Going forward, I think more years than not, we are going to land a Frontier Conference stud from Rocky, Carroll, etc., like Ryder, Hunter or Braeden--heck, former GRIZ Kyle Sample has built an excellent program @ Montana Tech 120 miles east in Butte, and I gotta believe just like Hunter and some of his Carroll teammates drove over from Helena to WA-GRIZ to watch us when their schedule allowed, we've probably had a few Orediggers taking in the sights and sounds of WA-GRIZ also. I think it’s just a matter of time before we land an outstanding Tech transfer--Justin and crew are obviously spending some quality time recruiting the best of The Frontier Conference, especially when the Frontier kid enters the portal. And Western is not far away, either.
