He had an offer from the Griz, and no offer from the Cats. I'm sure we "wanted" him, but our current situation at DL is pretty bleak so we need dudes that can play now, not in 2-3 years. Don't get me wrong, he's a beast and will develop into a dominant DT. We just don't have the roster space today. Good on ya Griz. Ya got a good one.
Do the Cats even have a DT transfer that verballed who is going to play next season? I know you had Bruggman and Neale but I don't remember seeing any guys who are going to help out the D-line next year. Losing Sheridan off the line is a huge loss at the DT spot for you guys I thought that might be an area of concern.
No
Yes
Yes, I'm concerned, maybe even worried.
I bet they will have some surprises on the DL during signing day good luck.

That'd be nice. We may have to wait for a fall transfer and Choate alluded to that possibility. But we NEED a couple of transfers at DT. And thanks.

Bradshaw is big, athletic and tough, with pretty good speed and even some moves as a running back. Good basketball player but better football player. Hasn't seemed to get taller or much taller in recent years. Has frame to put on more weight. Nice kid. Was recruited heavily by the Frontier, but is a Big Sky quality player.

Sample tweeted that UM will use him as a stand up DE... That sounds like a 3-4 D

They have a standup D-end in the 4-3. Watch how often Holmes hand wasn't in the ground

I don't think he's quite fast enough for a LB but he has a good frame. I would bulk him up and play him on DE. He also needs to learn to tackle lower, too many high arm tackles that won't cut it at this level. But I think he can become a great Griz if he works hard. Glad he is on the team.

PissSince03,
Sounds like you might have some yahoos buffaloed and drinking your vim, but you ain't got me fooled. In fact, I wouldn't cross the street to vim on you if you were on fire

You sir are a bonafide idiot.

Sorry if this info is already in this thread. I just glanced over I quickly....

Per Kyle Sample.....

"Bradshaw helped Bozeman to the Class AA state title as an all-state fullback and defensive tackle. At 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds, he gained attention of Montana's NAIA schools and a partial scholarship offer from Montana. Then, hours after he announced his commitment on Twitter, Montana State called him and made a scholarship offer."

Some great comments from Trace.....looks like MSU decided to offer him after he committed:

Added Bradshaw, "They were all really nice guys. That changed my mind a lot. It really swayed me toward going toward where I wanted to go."

But he remained firm to Montana, where he bonded with defensive line coach Brian Hendricks and Semore during his visit that began late Saturday night and extended into Monday afternoon.

"I think coach Semore will do a great job. I'm super excited to work with him," Bradshaw said. "He for sure knows his stuff and I'm excited to work with him and coach Hendricks."

garizzalies is actually correct in his assessment of "vimsince03". Remember, if it seems like you're trying too hard...you are.

Well you see when you do that you have a ready made excuse when you fail: "well it was really only a last minute attempt anyway so it's actually OK". If you offer someone who is truly available and they choose the Griz then you have nothing and no one to blame. You lost on your own merits. Too often it seems like the Cats set themselves up for failure but still hope like hell to succeed. That may actually be the MSU athletic ethos.

Cats sign Chase Benson, no big deal. um signs Bradshaw and WOW, the griz are so awesome, and MSU sucks at recruiting.

You guys epitomize stupid....

We don't take guys that spend half their senior season injured on the bench.

sorry, but that's your take...Benson is the higher rated recruit and a good get for you guys. Most know that a class doesn't come down to one kid. Our enthusiasm is for our overall class that is shaping up. You guys recruit well for FCS. However, if you don't regularly out-recruit your instate rival, then does it really matter?

Nagler, Bradshaw and Rosling are the top 3 players in the state. Cat's may have more Montana kids, but we have the best. I doubt half the MSU in-state recruits ever play there. Many are Frontier material.
