Bracketbusters: Griz @ LBS???

Hey, great point, CDA, same treatment and all...except much like Montana, Gonzaga has NOT beaten St. Mary's, USF, OR San Diego State...they lost to all three teams...1 outta 4 aint bad though...don't let those minor facts be an inconvenience to your argument...do continue with your point...

Hey man, LA brought up the "what if" stuff, I just responded to it. Point was made, just not taken. I'm not sure what you're on about.

I don't think you can play the IF game unless you give the same treatment to both teams. In which case, the Zags beat both USF and SMC and San Diego State, and still beat Portland by 13 in a game that was never in question.

Did you mean to say Gonzaga lost to all three of those teams?

San Diego St 79
(12) Gonzaga 76

Gonzaga 91
San Francisco 96

(24) Saint Mary's 73
Gonzaga 71

Lol are you drunk? The only point you made is that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Anybody with a fully functioning brain knows that comparative scores are a piss poor way to evaluate teams, but you don't get to just make shit up to try and push your opinion, especially when those results you touted fly right in the face of what you were attempting to prove...or not prove...

Drop the GRIZ/Gonzaga BS. It is not going to happen this year, unless it happens to be in the NCAA tournament, at a neutral sight.

CDAgriz, if I were you, I would call it a weekend. Reasons beyond me, you have been targeted this weekend. May your work week go better.

I think people are getting my post confused because LA didn't use the quote function correctly. He said that if the Griz make five more FTs, they beat Portland. I then said that we can't do "what ifs" for one team and not the other, and proceeded to reference three close losses for the Zags to demonstrate.

I hope this clears it up.

Haha. I'm noticing this too. Thanks, man.

Dude, it's not that difficult.

There is no hierarchy here...if you, mtgrizrule, were as full of shit as cda id be targeting you, as well...nothing personal, just my tightly-held belief that people should have half a clue before they spout off about something...

...having said all that...really nice year for the griz...be nice to get a big bracketbuster win...on TV!

I think that caused the confusion.

I think you are right. If one doesn't read the "In which case" part and know what it refers to, it could cause some confusion. I could have inserted a "would" before "beat", however. I was trying to type in that trendy way sportscasters talk nowadays. You know, like, "If the Lakers get more boards, the beat Boston" dropping the "would have."

I just didn't know I was being so unclear as to make people think I didn't know that the team I follow religiously lost those three close games. My bad, for sure.

I just want to see Lou diss "Qwally" after a UM beatdown of GU.

Do you think it would be a beatdown? I think it would be a good game, but I don't see a blowout either way.

After reading the entire "Gauranteedwin" thread...and wiping the tears from my eyes from laughing so hard...i gotta give ya credit, cda, that was a riot...vindicated...well done, sir

I think some of the football posters worked their way over to the basketball board, with a new name. :thumb:

Thanks, pro.

No way UM beats Gonzaga. I doubt it would be within 10 points. GU is having a down year compared to the top 25, not the rest. Look who they have beaten: Marquette, Baylor, Xavier, Oklahoma State, Wake Forest, and Portland. They have a SOS of 58 and UM 238. GU has played a real tough out of conference schedule and have paid for it. They aren't as NORMALLY good as usual, but it doesn't mean they are terrible.
I don't think they would ever travel to Missoula, obviously, but I wouldn't be surprised it UM traveled to Spokane for the game and I doubt they would play it at the arena. They have Memphis coming here to the arena soon, and it's still not sold out. I don't think they could sell it out for UM but you never know.
Ramble, over.

You're telling me there's people that actually care enough to change their name? Who are these pussies? Is this inside knowledge you feel you've attained gained from experience, mt? :thumb: See, I can make baseless, snarky accusations, as well
