Bracket Buster Question

Can someone enlighten me?
So, "Braket Buster Saturday" is Feb. 18, right?
And Montana's schedule is "TBA" on that date, right?
And so I saw one web article that says the announcement is set for 1/29. Is that right?
Montana was listed on College Hoops Net as a home team on that date. Is that right? Does that mean whomever UM plays, the game will be at UM?
If so, that would seem to me to kill chances of being a televised game. We all know how much the networks just looooove traveling to Montana. Of course, they sing our praises after they see the place...
What does this game really MEAN, anyway?
Thanks in advance.

Go Griz!

To me I think we will get paired with another team that is a mid-major with a chance to make the tourney. If we win I would think our RPI would go up some and also get Montana out there in the minds of the selection committee. I still think we have to win it all to go to the Big Dance. I see it really helping when you get those Butlers, Detroit Mercy, UIC teams out there and when one takes a loss they can concentrate on making sure the ACC gets an eigth team in there. Barn Ball and Gym Rat are our prophets of basketball so I am interested in what they know so you guys can tell me I have made you stupider for reading this!

Go Griz!

It isn't going to mean a whole lot for the Griz. It is a home game for Griz. Home win in RPI terms is only worth .6 when calculating winning percentages. Thus, it isn't going to give a huge boost to RPI rankings for the Griz if win, but losing at home could be more significant, as a loss at home is worth 1.4 in RPI terms when calculating winning percentage. It may mean more for the team that wins on the road as a road win is worth 1.4.

Grizzlies overall record maybe 10 - 2, but The record for Griz at this time that is used to calculate Montana's winning percentage is 8.4 wins - 2 losses for .8077 percentage. That is only worth 25% of the RPI.

I bought my ticket and it has Big Sky Conference versus Missouri Valley Conference. It is for February 18, 2006.

There are only 4 Missouri Valley Teams on the road. Drake, Indiana State, Illinois State, and Missouri State would be the teams Griz play in Missoula if my ticket is accurate. Indiana State is receiving the most votes in media polls.

Yes, the announcement what team Griz play is 1/29, according to ESPN.

As for TV, ESPN has televised games at Dahlberg before. Lady Griz - La tech game was televised on ESPN. Rumor was that an ESPN rep came to the Griz-Wisconsin-Milwaukee game to check out the environment. I thought it was pretty good, but that would be subjective.

11 televised games in total. Let's hope is the Griz game.
